Design

The Arylic A30+ inherits the same aesthetics of most other products from Arylic with a silver finish and a tiny size.

In fact, the A30+ is so small that the IR remote might look gigantic in photos when compared side to side.

The amp has a black front panel that informs the status and current mode/connection through a colored LED light – as the device does not have neither a display screen nor listed dedicated lights with writings that represent the connection used, you will have to either memorize each color and its representation or have the user manual near the unit.

To give you an idea of how small the unit is, the exact size is 4.57 x 2.52 x 0.87 inches.

If you have other Arylic streamers or amps and are building a multi-zone system or stacked HiFi setup you will have another component that blends in with the brand’s aesthetics.

Operation & Control

Without doubts there are more intuitive and user-friendly devices out on the market but, still, the Arylic A30+ is acceptably intuitive if you use the IR remote or mobile app to set and use the device.

Without any physical buttons nor knobs available on the unit itself you will not have the versatility of controlling main functions as other amps.

The Arylic A30+ is well-built with a main metal construction used for the housing and secure, stable connectors.

The unit sports rubberized feet on the bottom case that do a good job keeping the amp in place.

The Arylic A30+ has much more varied connectivity options than the price and size might suggest.

In fact, the amp offers both wired, wireless and network connectors to fulfill the needs of any audio enthusiast. The specific I/O connectors include:

Unfortunately, the A30+ uses the same Phoenix speaker connector as seen on the A50+ – we find it to be cumbersome and way less friendly than a classic banana plug.

Sound

The Arylic A30+ is even tinier than the already small A50+ sibling and this comes at a power cost where the A30+ will reach 35Wx2 at 4ohm instead of the 50Wx2 of the A50+ but if you speakers setup does not need the additional power you can save some bucks with the A30+.

Regarding specifics of the sound character and performance, this class D amp exhibits the same flavor and final results as the bigger A50+, with a flat frequency response and no measured dips nor spikes.

On top of that, the amp presented good tonality and general sound quality to offer a HiFi speaker output experience without altering nor coloring the original taste of your speakers.

As well, bass and treble ranges were well reproduced with good deepness body and an open and clear sound that did not exhibited muddiness nor congestion.

It is nice seeing that the brand did not remove the bass, treble and D. Bass functions seen on the A50+ and which add a versatile level of changing the character of your music, on-the-fly, without needing to dig into cumbersome menus and settings.
