AUGLAMOUR RT-1 – Review

AUGLAMOUR RT-1

AUGLAMOUR RT-1

| Balanced Armature | 10 mm Graphene Driver |

? The AUGLAMOUR RT-1 review is ready! The AUGLAMOUR RT-1 are impressively premium-looking earphones with fancy technical specifications.

The housings are built with a 3 piece combination, one made of a Metal Injection Molding Zinc Alloy, another of ABS and lastly a Polycarbonate one; all 3 pieces are perfectly assembled together with smooth transitions. Nevertheless, it is the 3D design that will probably captivate most of the looks. This 3D design has a geometrical shape and in each “geometric hole” you will see different shiny, metallic-colored pieces (purplish, blueish, greenish and goldish); you will see the “geometric holes” colored when the right light angle of incidence reaches the colored pieces and will be seen sort of black when the angle of incidence is diverse.

The AUGLAMOUR RT-1 features high-class technical specifications with an hybrid configuration of a balanced armature + a 10 mm dynamic driver (specifically a graphene driver, material that is also used on the Blitzwolf BW-ES1), a physical frequency divider with an impedance of 60 ohm to filter out each corresponding audio frequency to the corresponding driver, a binaural conduit and the already mentioned MIM alloy, ABS & PC housings.

Moreover, the brand claims that the AUGLAMOUR RT-1 are the result of 1095 days of study, 548 days of research & development, more than 10,000 people wear testing, +700 items ran through QC tests and all sort of specific tests (like treble and bass test, impedance test, low temperature test, high temperature test, soot test, acid test, drop test, wire lifting, temperature test, drying test, ear shell life test).

The AUGLAMOUR RT-1 durability feels solid from the cable materials up to the housings. The cables are rounded and very rubberized, on the cable bifurcation section and 3.5mm plug you will immediately notice the metal construction and very AUGLAMOUR design style. The cables are detachable and have a bi-pin connection like most new generation KZ earphones, specifically the connector is straight like on the KZ ZS6, KZ ZS5 and KZ ZS3. Having an inter-compatibility with KZ cables is a great asset as it allows you to transform the AUGLAMOUR RT-1 into a wireless Bluetooth IEM by just buying the ultra-affordable KZ Bluetooth Cable.

The AUGLAMOUR RT-1 can be bought with or without an inline mic/control. The one that includes it, holds a 3-button control with dedicated volume buttons and is compatible with Android and Apple devices.

You can buy the AUGLAMOUR RT-1 in:

The price will be lower for the AUGLAMOUR RT-1 mic-less version.

The AUGLAMOUR RT-1 unboxing results in 3 pair of silicone eartips, 1 pair of foam eartips, a metal storage plate for the eartips, a cable clip, a cable binding band (with Velcro), a silicone storage/carrying bag/case, a cleaning rod and a 3.5mm to 6.35mm adapter; everything comes packed inside a large packaging that looks great and makes the earphones seem even fancier.

B

Bass & Sub Bass

The AUGLAMOUR RT-1 lower frequencies are great, with a vivacious bass personality that provides punch and depth capable of fulfilling any music genre or track being listened no-matter how bass-hungry it is. Despite the aforementioned, their mid-bass and sub-bass are well balanced between them with no tendency of showing more punch than depth or vice-versa. AUGLAMOUR achieved a very fun but still well sounding bass with no boomy or out of control response.

Applying an EQ, their mid-bass and sub-bass gets noticeably enhanced without muffling too much the rest of the audio frequencies.

During our extreme bass tests the AUGLAMOUR RT-1 were able to handle 45% of the maximum power of a Fiio E12 amplifier (high gain, bass boost turned on, custom basshead EQ used). This intense amplification and equalization made the AUGLAMOUR RT-1 achieve a massive increment of mid-bass punch and sub-bass depth reaching a moderate basshead impact and rumble similar to the KZ ATE, Xiaomi Mi Pro HD and below the DZAT DF-10Elecom EHP-CA3580, Xiaomi Mi In-Ear Headphones Pro or the KZ ZST Colormix.

Mids & Vocals

The AUGLAMOUR RT-1 mids have energetic and clear enough lower vocals for most listening sessions. The overall sound is warm cozy sounding lower vocals. The upper mids of this hybrid earphone are not rolled off nor excessively emphasized, resulting in crisp but still not usually harsh higher mids.

With an EQ, vocals become clearer and gain much more presence in their overall sound. Higher mids follow the tendency showed before equalizing, empowering the crispness but things can start to get harshy if overdone.

H

Highs & Treble

The AUGLAMOUR RT-1 highs provide enough brightness and good detail. Piercing highs are usually not too strong but can be perceived at times. Sibilance, instead, will be more frequently heard depending on the track.

An EQ makes their highs beautifully bright and substantially more detailed and if you know how-to EQ you can fine tune it to highly smooth out the sibilance (almost disappearing) without loosing the brightening EQ applied.

Sound Isolation

Noise isolation of the AUGLAMOUR RT-1 is very noticeable. Most of your surroundings will get strongly subdued even while listening to music at a moderate-low volume, if a high volume is set the isolation will be almost absolute.
