? CCA NRA, the first electrostatic earphone from CCA.
The CCA NRA is marketed as a quad driver earphone but it is actually a dual driver hybrid earphone with 1x dynamic driver and 1x electrostatic driver per earpiece.
The electrostatic (low-voltage electret) is a 6.8mm driver while the dynamic driver uses a 3x magnetic design (this is the spec used as a marketing move to call it a quad driver model)
The CCA NRA joins the hype train of electrostatic earphones at crazy cheap prices, a departing train mainly launched by KZ and CCA.

The CCA NRA come in small packaging, holding inside the bi-pin cable, a 3 pair of eartips.

Bass & Sub Bass
The CCA NRA shows a completely unbalanced and messed up bass with an overly boosted upper bass that at the same time lacks punch.
In addition to this, sub-bass presents an extreme roll-off that drastically lacks on coverage and deepness.
As consequence of this, the CCA NRA sounds excessively loose, invasive yet lacks fun and depth.

Mids & Vocals
Mids on the CCA NRA exhibit a way too congested sound right out of the box.
Lower mids and male vocals feel overpowered by an excess of mid-bass bleed that eats up their midrange.
On the other hand, male vocals are still able to fight back on specific tracks that do not show too much bass.
Higher mids and female vocals will surely never sound harsh but the invasive effect of the mid-bass bleed shows its consequences even over these upper mids.
Despite this, female vocals do sound much more present than male vocals are able to.

Highs & Treble
The CCA NRA suffers from a severely recessed and rolled-off tuning that combines with the overly invasive mid and upper bass.
As a result of this, their highs sound dark, muddy and lack any kind of detail.
Unfortunately, the CCA NRA tuning is a bloody mess that could only match users who are after no harshness, no sibilance and no piercing peaks, at the price of congestion and darkness.

Comfort
With a housing´s design inherited from classics such as the KZ ZST and the recent KZ EDX PRO, the smooth curves, small size and thinner profile, offer an excellent level of comfort and fit.
In addition to this, the smaller size than the CCA CA24 or KZ ZEX PRO makes it better adaptable to all kind of ear´s sizes.

Response to Equalization
There is no way to help the CCA NRA, not even with an extremely detailed custom EQ.
The baseline of its sound quality it is just way messed up.
