DT NO.1 DT ULTRA 3
| Smartwatch | 4GB Disk | Bluetooth | Waterproof |
We are reviewing the DTNO.1 DT ULTRA 3, the newest “hybrid” smartwatch from the brand.
To date, we have reviewed plenty of watches from DTNO.1 and have noticed that all of their models preserve a super bang for buck balance and solid build.
Unlike the DTNO.1 DT ULTRA 2, the newer DT ULTRA 3 is not a full-Android but still allows the installation of some apps.
A major problem with the DT No.1 DT ULTRA 3 is the fact that the brand already has another watch that is called identically but that it is a full-Android watch; this will certainly lead to user’s confusion and possibly some buyers not understanding which watch they are getting. In fact, the company has simply added a “Bluetooth” word at the end of the non-Android model to differentiate them.

Design
The DT NO.1 DT Ultra 3 features a rectangular form factor with a taller-than-wide design and smoothly curved corners.
The aesthetic feel of the watch is elegant and refined, with thoughtfully arranged buttons and design elements that exude a premium feel.
The inclusion of a unibody construction further enhances its sophisticated appearance, making it stand out among other smartwatches on the market.
On the underside, various sensors are positioned alongside the pins for the charging addon.
On the edges, the watch houses a rotating wheel and an elongated button; the opposite edge includes an orange button and a visible grille concealing a speaker.

he design follows the same line and style seeing in the DT Ultra 2 and DT Ultra models and appears to take inspiration from Apple watches, executed with commendable finesse.

Functions
The DTNO.1 DT ULTRA 3 stands out from the older models by offering the possibility to install some apps despite not being an full-Android watch.
On the other hand, the apps available to install are not too many – maybe in the future the brand might expand the apps availability and variety.
On top of the apps installation feature, the watch now also includes a sharing network function, in order to use the network coming from your phone to use web apps directly on the watch.
Some of the notable apps available include:
○ Facebook
○ Instagram
○ Google Maps
○ BBS news
○ X (ex-Twitter)
○ Google Translate
○ AI note taking
○ ChatGPT
Furthermore, the watch is equipped with all the typical functions seen on previous models such as:
○ Call notifications
○ SMS notifications
○ Fitness apps
○ Health sensors (blood oxygen, blood pressure, sleep quality, temp, blood sugar)
○ Calculator
○ Compass
○ NFC
○ Gallery
○ Sound recorder

Operation & Control
The watch’s operation is facilitated by two physical buttons, a knob/wheel, and a touch-sensitive display itself.
The display accommodates both single-touch and gesture-based inputs, delivering an intuitive interface akin to that of a smartwatch, with negligible need for user acclimatization.
Unfortunately, the left orange button, preconfigured to activate sports modes, cannot be reprogrammed to execute alternative functions via the designated settings menu.
Moreover, the wheel incorporates a multifunction button, thereby serving as an additional physical control. Its rotational functionality enables seamless menu navigation with tactile feedback.

Battery Life
Battery life was usually well maintained through a whole week without needing to be recharged – but with light use.

A more intensive utilization or constantly turning on the screen did significantly reduce the days that were covered by a single charge.
Thanks to an efficient charging system, the watch can benefit from a short partial charging time of 10 minutes and covering some hours of use – handy for emergency use or while traveling.

Construction & Build
The DT NO.1 DT Ultra 3 immediately stands out with its sturdy and weighty construction, conveying an impression of reliability and long-lasting life.
The overall craftsmanship is evident, as the buttons and rotating wheel exhibit a high level of precision, with no indications of looseness or fragility. Furthermore, the watch has been meticulously engineered to ensure resistance to dust and water, making it suitable for safe daily use.
Unlike the older models, the DT Ultra 3 did not exhibit metallic sounds produced by the wheel, thus making it feel like a better a more premium device that has been constructed with either better materials or more carefully assembled.

S
Screen
The DTNO.1 DT ULTRA 3 has a generous AMOLED display of 2.06 inches.
The screen looks nice and crisp with contrasty and popping colors. Also, the sharpness of text and icons are as sharp as you can expect from a smartphone without straining the sight.
The effective resolution of the display is 448×368 being a tad less than the Ultra 2, yet without any visible difference.
As with every other watch from the brand, the DT ULTRA 3 comes with several pre-installed dials and can download many more from the in-menu or through the dedicated phone app.

Comfort
We could say that the DT ULTRA 3 has a sweet spot of rugged construction and assuring weight but still an ultra-comfortable fit and feel.
The metal of the shell combined with the gentle finish and flexible nature of the wristbands included with the device were a killer-combo for maximum comfort and fatigue-free use.

PER
Performance
The watch is powered by a multi-core CPU, 16GB of ROM space and 2GB of RAM memory.
On daily use, the DT ULTRA 3 was always snappy and responsive with no disturbing lag nor unexpected weird issues.
The use of the buttons, knobs and screen was always buttery smooth and felt as natural as using a phone.
Typical features like tilt-to-wake usually reacted fast and mostly never missing a turn-on and turn-off.
When using more intensive apps like Google maps or navigating through Facebook you will notice a significantly more cumbersome experience than on a phone with lower performance and tight screen space to use and input text.
To highlight some details that we did not love, were the boot sounds and charging sounds that were overly loud and could not be disabled (for the charging sound)
On the other hand, features like Bluetooth calling, standalone storage (4GB), standalone music/video playing, TWS Bluetooth audio and sound recording were neat features to find in such a cheap-price watch.
