FANTECH Aria II PRO, a new budget gaming mouse from FANTECH.
In the past we have reviewed all current and modern gaming mice from FANTECH (FANTECH HELIOS II PRO XD3 V3, FANTECH Helios II PRO S, FANTECH Aria XD7), all of which offered superb value for money and performance.
Specifically, the FANTECH Aria II PRO, joins the catalog gaming mice from the company as the full renewed 2nd generation of the Aria series.
Being a direct successor of the FANTECH Aria XD7, the true full name of this new gaming mouse is actually FANTECH Aria XD7v2 but it is rarely found under this name online.

D
DESIGN
4.5/5
First of all, it is worth highlighting that the FANTECH Aria II exists as 2 variants:
• FANTECH Aria II 1000Hz polling rate
• FANTECH Aria II PRO 8000Hz polling rate
You can also choose it in black or white color. The specific model of the Aria II that we are reviewing is the FANTECH Aria II Pro black.
Faithful to the Aria series, the new FANTECH Aria II Pro inherits the more compact egg-shape and less like the ergo-styled of the HELIOS II family, Zaopin Z2, MCHOSE AX5 PRO MAX, Incott Ghero Pro. You can expect a shape and form factor inline with another very popular gaming mice, the ZAOPIN Z1 PRO.
Sitting between the main clickers and in front of the encoder, there is a status LED light that provides a quick insight of the battery level, DPI setting and Bluetooth pairing mode.
A detail that we noticed with the black version of the FANTECH Aria II was that the finish of the shell was prone to show marks of oily hands and fingers.
Of course, as you can see from the photos, if your preference for a gaming mice is a colorful, LED decorated and themed style, the FANTECH Aria II Pro might look a bit too low-profile and dull to you.

CONSTRUCTION & BUILD
4.5/5
With a competitive gaming use in mind, the FANTECH Aria II Pro has been designed with a lightweighted plastic shell, allowing it to remain below the 55g category.
The new generation Aria II Pro has a new UV coating and a noticeably enhanced grippy finish that is now closer to the FANTECH Helios II PRO S than to the FANTECH Aria XD7.
Throughout the review, we have mentioned that the Aria II is available in a Pro and a non-Pro version, being the polling rate the most noticeable difference, as the FANTECH Aria II Pro vs FANTECH Aria II offer 8000Hz of polling rate for the Pro model and 1000Hz on the non-Pro variant.
On top of this difference, the models have a different MCU, with the flagship FANTECH Aria II Pro holding a NRF 52840 and the non-Pro a CX52850P+.
The remaining main specs of both models are shared, with a Pixart PAW 3395 sensor, same weight, shell material and finish and switches.
The overall construction of the mouse feels well-achieved with no rattling nor wobbly pieces.
SW
SWITCHES
4.5/5
This new FANTECH Aria II Pro is now equipped with HUANO TBSPD, which are the V2 lighter version of the HUANO BSPD (HUANO Blue Shell Pink Dot) – if you are wondering what does TBSPD stands for, this is the acronym for HUANO switches model Transparent Blue Shell Pink Dot.
The HUANO TBSPD inside the FANTECH Aria II Pro exhibited a well-balanced light actuation force with fast response and provided tactile and clicky feedback.
The encoder is well-tuned to provide a balance between smoothness and non-overly loose movement while responding with tactile feedback per notch.
CON
CONNECTIVITY
5/5
The FANTECH Aria II Pro is a tri-mode gaming mice, accepting wired and wireless connectivity.
Wirelessly, the mouse can be paired through Bluetooth or make use of the high-performing StrikeSpeed 2.4G wireless connection with the included dongle (1K non-Pro model and 8K for the Pro model)
When used wired, users can benefit from the detachable USB-C design and a nice USB-C cable quality that comes bundled with the mouse.
It is fair to mention that the 8000Hz polling rate is only available on the Aria II Pro variant and is limited to the 2.4G connection with the 8K dongle.
A switch mode is placed on the bottom of the mouse, in order to set the mouse in any of the 3 connection modes.
Next to this switch you can also find the pairing BT button and DPI button.
S
SOUND
4/5
A particularity of the sound profile of each clicker/switch was that the left main clicker and back side button shared a very similar deeper pitched sound while the right main clicker, forward side button and button of the wheel presented a clearly higher pitched and louder sound flavor.
You can expect a substantially audible click on each press as this is far from being a silent gaming mouse – but that is what is expected (and usually wanted) for gaming purposes.
P
PERFORMANCE
5/5
The blazing speed of the 8000Hz of polling rate offered with the FANTECH Aria II Pro was a massive feature for intensive gaming sessions and competitive gaming. Moreover, top-notch specs for this type of use are leveled up in the Aria II PRO by offering 650 IPS of speed, 50 G acceleration and quality switches with a lifespan of 80 million clicks.
The default PTFE feet skates equipped with the Aria exhibited ultra-smooth and fluid mouse movement and sliding over any type of surface and/or gaming mouse pads of all finish and material types.
At the same time, the Aria II was precise and highly accurate to perform and respond with micro movement and adjustments when pinpoint precision was needed for gaming situations like sniping, etc.
Moreover, the main clickers presented minimal pre-travel and were extremely easy to spam click – the side buttons do have substantially more pre-travel, though.
Furthermore, the mouse never showed signs of hiccups nor connectivity disconnections and was far from presenting lag, delay and latency.
B
BATTERY
4.5/5
Similar to the flagship gaming mice from FANTECH, the FANTECH Aria II PRO holds an internal Li-Ion battery with a capacity of 300mAh that is capable of offering 70 hours of runtime on a single charge.
