? Haylou GT2, an extremely affordable true wireless headphone with tiny size.
Haylou might not be a brand that you have heard before and far from being an audio brand with a long history or vast catalog. Nonehtless, the Haylou GT2 is the 2nd generation of Haylou’s GT series, which was launched into “fame” by the Haylou GT1 and next to the Haylou GT1 Pro and Haylou GT1S.
The Haylou GT2 features single dynamic driver configuration with one 7.2mm dynamic driver per earpiece.
Each back plate of the earpieces carries a single button that works as multi-function control for basic music playback and calls.
The Haylou GT2 is supposes to grant 4 hours of battery life and 11 extra hours of battery duration (15 hours total) with the OTG battery charges provided by the case.
The case itself holds a 380mAh internal battery while each earpiece’s internal battery mAh capacity is not informed by the brand.
The case should be charged by any USB charger that is able to provide 500mA and 5V – the estimated charging time is 2 hours.

Bass of the Haylou GT2 is impressively powerful for such a tiny earphone.
In fact, the Haylou GT2 will beat up many wired earphones in this price range regarding bass distribution; with a surprisingly punchy and deep bass, yet substantially fast for the intensity provided.
The use of an EQ can provide a huge deepening of it’s sub-bass and a way punchier mid-bass can be revealed.

Mids & Vocals
Sharing many sound similarities with the Xiaomi Redmi Airdots, the Haylou GT2 offers a retuned version of the Xiaomi TWS with cleaner midrange results.
A full and very warm low and middle mids should be expected, with acceptable congestion shown on lower mids and male vocals but a very respectably present and alive male and female vocals.
Identically to the Xiaomi Redmi Airdots, pulling the earpieces out a bit of the ears will provide instant refinement over it’s sound and a much less invasive bass.
With an EQ, users will notice a good retuning potential with capability of reducing some of it’s warmth and offering a cleaner profile without risking to enhance harshness.

Highs & Treble
The Haylou GT2 offer a pleasant balance of detail and smoothness with very good detail capabilities in comparison with many true wireless headphones in the same price range or even much more expensive.
Overall, the highs of the Haylou GT2 will probably be perceived by audio-enthusiasts as presenting a layer of darkness over them or having a tendency to roll-off on some ends but their “not so emphasized” highs will be appreciated by many consumers.
In addition to this, despite showing mild sibilance, the highs on the Haylou GT2 offers a smoothed out version of the Xiaomi Redmi Airdots regarding piercing peaks.
A custom EQ can provide a strong improvement in detail and brightness but there will also be a significant intensification of their fatiguing peaks.

Sound Leak
The sound leaking out of the Haylou GT2 is slightly lower than on most average earphones.
Their leaking sound will never be too disturbing on normally noisy situations (while listening to music at moderate volume levels) but will not be the best option on the market for libraries.

Despite the minuscule size of the earpieces, the Haylou GT2 is vastly more efficient isolating from noises than most normal earphones.
Partial isolation will be immediately achieved when wearing this Haylou earphone, while a near-absolute isolation will be easily obtainable by cranking up the volume.

The Haylou GT2 are tiny true wireless headphones being among the smallest models on the market right now and sharing the exact same size and shape of the Xiaomi Redmi Airdots or very similar to the Xiaomi Airdots Basic.
The small dimensions, rounded form factor and extremely light weight, combines into a remarkably comfortable experience that can grant endless hours of music listening without any pain.
The back section of the earpieces is a single button that acts a multi-function control for all the basic operation of music playback and phone calling.
