Bass & Sub Bass

The general sound of the i2000 will show extremely different personality according to it’s placement. Being a semi-in ear earbud with no defined placement it is too difficult to set the correct position in the ears which will therefore also provide and massive difference in sound each time used.

There are mainly 2 style of bass revealed according to where and how the earbuds are positioned in the ears.

One style of placement (which usually is with the end of the earpiece tilted up) will provide a nearly bass-only sound with no space for mids and treble while the 2nd placement (end of the earpiece perpendicular to the floor) will sound much more balanced, yet bass-centered and boosted.

For an easier reading reference, we will call “position 1” to the bass-boosted placement and “position 2” to the less-emphasized bass placement.

On “position 1”, the earphone will show a very punchy mid-bass that is not particularly typical of earbuds but will not be able to provide sub-bass due to a very rolled-off lower end and a resulting lack of deepness.

On “position 2”, their mid-bass will be less excessively boomy and fairly cleaner but there will still be no sub-bass exhibited.

Mids & Vocals

The most common sound styles of the i2000 according to placement include: an extremely muddy and muffled midrange with overpowering mid-bass bleed and distant vocals when on “position 1” or a cleaner and less congested but still “busy” and distant midrange sound when set to “position 2”

Probably the only positive aspect of their mids is that they do not suffer from any harshness.

Highs & Treble

On “position 1”, their highs will suffer from the same outrageous mess and busy sound with a ruling bass and a boomy sound.

When on “position 2” their highs will sound a bit less messy but will be far from being acceptable, being their bass-only sound still present.

Sound Leak

The sound leaking out of the i2000 TWS is slightly higher than most average headphones, making it audible on quiet situations or when cranking the volume but being acceptable on noisy city situations.

Sound Isolation

TBeing an earbud, there is not much isolation provided. In fact, the i2000 will provide mild to no isolation from the environment – which could be a positive aspect for listeners who want this.

Comfort

The rounded shapes and earbud style will be less-aggressive than a typical in-ear headphone, reducing the possibilities of in-ear pain or discomfort.

Nonetheless, the long lower end of the unit and concerns of loosing them makes them “uncomfortable” for daily use.

Response to Equalization

The i2000 has way too many sound “flaws” to be able to be “fixed” by an EQ. In fact, we could only see any worthy response over mid-bass punch boosting.
