KZ BA-10 and KZ AS10 Announced - 10 Balanced Armatures Earphones - NEWS

ℹ Back in May (28th May) KZ started teasing a 10 balanced armature earphone, today KZ is revealing and announcing not only one but 2 models with 10 balanced armatures – the KZ BA-10 and the KZ AS10.

The 10 balanced armature model that was teased since May is now revealed as the KZ BA-10. The KZ AS10 was not teased in the past and is announced as an unexpected model to the public.

The new releases will be joining the 2018 catalog among the:

KZ ED16 / KZ ZS7 – triple hybrid driver
KZ ZSA – dual hybrid driver
KZ ES4 – dual hybrid driver
KZ ZS10 – KZ’s flagship, 10 total drivers
KZ ED15 – budget dual driver

So far there are only 2 images available for the new models, that do not reveal much information besides their aesthetics looks.

The KZ AS-10 seems that it will be a model with the design style of the KZ ZS10 and KZ ES4 with their translucent housings and visible board on the rear section of the earpieces. On the other hand, the KZ BA-10 will have a renewed design not seen before with a more squared design and some resembling details from the KZ ZS6, like the rear grids and what seems to be metal housings.

KZ has the tendency of promoting their model’s drivers as the total summed number of drivers – for example, what they promoted as a 10 driver earphone with the KZ ZS10 was a 5 driver per side model.

Regarding the KZ BA-10 and the KZ AS10, it is still not clear if they will hold 10 balanced armatures per side or in total.

The technical specifications of the KZ BA-10 and KZ AS10 are still unknown but will probably surface soon.

The cables of both models are detachable with bi-pin connectors as every KZ earphone with detachable cables and will use the angled connector design like the KZ ZS10, KZ ZSA, KZ ZSR, KZ ZST, etc (KZ is calling now this type of connector the B PIN) and not the straight connector seen in the KZ ZS6, KZ ZS5 and KZ ZS3 (KZ calls this connector A PIN).

Both the KZ BA-10 and KZ AS10 should be compatible with upgraded bi-pin cables and even with the Bluetooth cables from KZ: the KZ Bluetooth cable and the KZ Bluetooth waterproof cable.
