NICEHCK EP10
| 11 mm Dynamic Driver |
? NICEHCK EP10, a super affordable and rugged single driver earphone.
The NICEHCK EP10 features a larger than average 11mm dynamic driver with a PET/PEN diaphragm and a very wide frequency response ranging from 20Hz to 40kHz.
The diameter of the dynamic driver of the EP10 is a bit controversial as different sources inform different sizes, on Aliexpress it is informed as a 10mm DD, at Amazon is said to be a 13.5mm DD while the packaging declares an 11mm DD – as the most “official” source seems the packaging, we are classifying it’s dynamic driver size as 11mm.
The earpieces of the EP10 have a particularly durable construction quality that resembles the materials and/or is inline with the rugged construction of earphones such as the:
The cable of the NICEHCK EP10 has a helix/braided design with a copper color finish and all-metal details such as the cable bifurcation section, mic/remote and 3.5mm jack.
When choosing the EP10, buyers will be able to select within two color options and with or without the inline mic/remote – getting the micless model will cost a bit less.

A
Accessories & Packaging
The NICEHCK EP10 unboxing results in a semi-hard case, a 3.5mm jack cap, a cable organizer, 2 pair of double flange eartips and 4 pair of single flange tips.
The packaging is a very small box that, at first sight, might not seem to contain such an amount of accessories.

B
Bass & Sub Bass
With stock oval-shaped eartips + loose fit/seal
The NICEHCK EP10, when used with the oval-shaped eartips and a loose fit/seal, provides punchy mid-bass and good depth without becoming bloated nor invasive.
Expect bass capable of covering any music genre without shortage but do not think of them as a basshead nor bass-only earphone.
8/10
With biggest eartips + tight fit/seal
It is noteworthy pointing out that according to each user’s ears morphology and the eartip used, the NICEHCK will show an extremely different bass response.
People with narrower ear canals or placing the biggest eartips will provide a tighter fit, which will result in an exponential increment of mid-bass and sub-bass and a much more bass-centered sound signature.
This bass boost generated by the tighter seal/fit reaches up to +10dB over mid-bass and deep sub-bass ranges.
If a crazily deep sub-bass is wanted, wearing the biggest eartips and applying an aggressive EQ can reveal an insane amount of depth.
Through our extreme basshead test, the NICEHCK EP10 handled up to 55% of a FiiO A5 amplifier maximum power. The results exhibited a massive basshead rumble and impact that can surpass many of the top basshead earphones, sitting among the Top 5, way above the KZ ZST PRO, KZ ZSN, right in between the Puma Bulldogs and above the Sony MDR-XB50
, Monster Beats iBeats
but below the Sony MDR-EX800st
and Pioneer SE-CX8
/ Pioneer SE-CX9

M
Mids & Vocals
With stock oval-shaped eartips + loose fit/seal
The NICEHCK EP10 have clear male vocals that do not sound distant nor excessively laid back.
In addition to this, their lower mids are clean with nearly no mid-bass bleed nor congestion. All the aforementioned is only exhibited with the stock oval-shaped eartips + loose fit/seal.
Furthermore, higher mids offer a very crisp personality with clear female vocals but can show some harshness on the upper end of their midrange.
With an EQ their midrange can be retuned to partially “fix” their harshy peaks.
7.75/10
With biggest eartips + tight fit/seal
All listeners besides bassheads or bass-intense lovers are recommended to use the NICEHCK EP10 with the smallest eartips (oval-shaped) to avoid the insane increment of bass with the bigger eartips – that would equally increment mid-bass bleed and congestion.

H
Highs & Treble
With stock oval-shaped eartips + loose fit/seal
The NICEHCK EP10 highs can resolve some detail for normal listening sessions and provide sufficient brightness for this kind of use.
Nonetheless, opposite to their midrange that showed a very clean and clear sound, their highs are less emphasized due to a noticeable rolled-off response on their upper highs and treble region.
Expect piercing and sibilant peaks that can appear when tracks present strong spikes in these regions.
An EQ provides plenty additional detail that can be squeezed out with a well-customized EQ.
Additionally, their overall highs will sound much brighter than before with also stronger and more frequent fatiguing peaks.
7/10
With biggest eartips + tight fit/seal
Likewise with the midrange, every listener besides bassheads should avoid using any bigger eartip than the smallest ones or their highs will be significantly drowned by their massive bass response.
SL
Sound Leak
The sound leaking out of the NICEHCK EP10 is much lower than on most earphones. Listeners can feel safe cranking up the volume way up without disturbing nearby people.

Sound Isolation
The sound isolation provided by the NICEHCK EP10 is substantially stronger than on many average earphones.
Partial isolation will be immediate while absolute isolation will be achievable by dialing up the volume of your listening sessions.

EQ
Response to Equalization
The response to EQ of the EP10 enabled it to improve their highs and retune part of their mids but the most prominent results could be seen over bass (with the biggest eartips), unleashing a bass monster that if handled by expert extreme bassheads can reach high-class basshead rumble and impact.

Summary
Note: Scores correspond to the "loose fit", with the stock oval-shaped eartips. Wearing bigger eartips or getting a tighter fit will not provide the sound referenced in this table.

✅ 2 opposite sound signatures according to eartips
✅ Can be a clean sounding earphone or a massively bass-intense one (stock oval-eartips vs biggest eartips)
✅ Great cable for the price – same as many KZ earphones (KZ ZSN, KZ ES4, KZ AS06, KZ ZS10)
✅ Clean lower mids (only with stock oval-tips + loose fit)
✅ Outstanding construction quality
✅ Metal inline remote, bifurcation and 3.5mm jack
✅ Extremely comfortable
✅ Secure fit
✅ Top Basshead impact and rumble (when extreme basshead amplification and EQ applied)
✅ Lots of accessories included
❌ Some hashness
❌ Rolled-off upper highs/treble
The NICEHCK EP10 offers a lot for the price, such as 2 sound signatures (according to eartips and seal), rugged construction, very good cable (for a fixed-cable model with this price tag), metal details, comfortable and pain-free fit, inline remote/mic and plenty of included accessories.
Moreover, if handled by expert bassheads with advanced knowledge in custom basshead equalization and extreme amplification (only with the biggest eartips in place) can make the NICEHCK EP10 reveal one of the strongest basshead's rumble and impact that we have tested so far - sitting among the Top 5 in our TOP Basshead Earphones Chart.
Despite having pointed it out several times through out the review, we remind our readers that if a tighter seal and/or bigger eartips are used, the NICEHCK will become a very bassy earphone with much more congested and darker sound.
