? We did not know about Songful earphones and not much information can be found about them, but we took the risk to give them a chance and see how they could perform. The Songful F2 have a nice looking design with a golden center that resembles a magnet coil. The housing is made entirely of metal, which is always greatly appreciated and sometimes other models offer like the Plextone X41M, Xiaomi Mi Quantie Pro Hybrid, Xiaomi Mi Pro HD, KZ ED9, KZ HDS3, KZ EDR2, UiiSii Hi-705, Vots J1, Remax RM-565i, JBMMJ MJ007. They can be purchased in white with golden details or black with golden details; both have the cool golden “magnet coil” design. The cable is rubbery and tangle free and comes with an inline microphone with a 1-button control.

Bass & Sub Bass

The Songful F2 have good mid-bass punch and are rolled off at sub-bass frequencies. Though sub-bass is rolled off, they have enough depth. Overall bass performance is warm and fun. Equalizing will not enhance much punch or depth. Putting the Songful F2 under our basshead test (basshead eq, amplified with a Fiio E12 set to high gain and bass boost on) they could not handle much power, around 5% of Fiio’s maximum power and if set to low gain they could barely tolerate 25% , started to distort immediately and were ready to break. Despite not handling much amplification they noticeably gained more sub-bass depth but still they do not provide any basshead rumble or impact.

Mids & Vocals

Vocals are warm, not recessed, clear and not harsh. Mid-bass bleeds onto lower mid frequencies but they do not muffle them. A custom eq can be applied to emphasize mids and vocals with good results but if slightly overdone they start to become a little harsh.

Highs & Treble

The highs of the Songful F2 are clear and with enough detail. There are no signs of sibilance or piercing highs. Equalizing gains incredible detail with no piercing highs or sibilance introduced.

Sound Leak

The sound that leaks out of these earphones is high. Using it on quiet environments will attract people attention.

Sound Isolation

The F2 do a below average job blocking outside noises. Sound surrounding you will not get totally reduced unless medium to high volumes are used.

Comfort

The Songful fit very comfortably inside the ears, there is no soreness even after long time wearing them. They fit securely and will never fall on any normal activities.

Response to Equalization

The Songful T2 respond excellent to highs custom equalization being able to enhance detail, definition and brightness without becoming piercing or sibilant. Equalization of mids/vocals frequencies respond very well but without a lot of eq margin. Bass response to custom equalization instead is not very good, not much punch or depth can be enhanced.
