🎧 The SOUL K-POP are one of the many models that the brand has manufactured. SOUL is a highly famous brand that produces earphones, headphones and speakers.
The SOUL K-POP are made entirely of plastic but the quality of the materials feel very good and solid. Housings are small and light (similarly sized to the Sennheiser CX200 and a bit bigger than the Somic MH403), cable is flat and very thick which adds weight to the overall earphones.
Cables feel so robust that look like they could hold up some serious beating without even blinking. Also, they have an inline microphone and 1 button control that allows to play, pause, skip tracks and answer/reject calls.
Design, shape and size of the SOUL K-POP made us somewhat remember the JBL T110 that we reviewed some time ago.
SOUL offers the K-POP in a large variety of eye popping colors like: neon-blue, orange, pink, violet or lighting-green (like the one that we own).

Accessories & Packaging
Out of the box you get a soft velvety branded pouch and 4 pairs of silicon eartips. Everything is packed in a clean packaging.
Bass & Sub Bass
The SOUL K-POP have some mid-bass and not very deep sub-bass but enough to cover most music genres. Bass is pleasant and non invasive with a right amount of strength, warmth and enough presence when required but will probably not suffice bassheads or bassy earphones lovers.
Bass is pleasant and non invasive with a right amount of strength, warmth…
An EQ makes the K-POP gain a lot more of depth while mid-bass remains similarly punchy as before.
The SOUL K-POP went through our extreme bass tests supporting up to 47% of maximum amplification coming from a Fiio E12 amplifier set to high gain and with bass boost turned on. A huge transformation in bass response was the result of the tests gaining strong mid-bass punch and deep sub-bass. Despite the enhancement they were unable to provide any type of basshead impact or rumble; expect something similar to the KZ ATR, below the Rock Zircon and way below the VJJB K1s or the KZ ATE.

Mids & Vocals
Mids of the SOUL K-POP have some recession and could feel a bit colder than many nowadays earphones but they are not cold just not as warm. Lower vocals can be perceived laid back and lacking some extra energy. Higher mids are less recessed and sound better, while not falling into harshness. With an EQ a great improvement is achieved on lower mids and lower vocals sounding clearer and far less recessed, higher mids can start to sound a bit harsh.
Highs & Treble
The SOUL K-POP have good brightness and are able to resolve some detail, piercing highs are not an usual problem but some sibilance can be heard. Equalizing highs makes them much brighter and a lot more of detail is gained but things start to get very sibilant and a bit piercing.
Sound leakage is a bit higher than many other average earphones, not excessively stronger but enough to make them quite unusable in libraries at any volume above the lowest.
The SOUL are able to isolate from surrounding noises but to be more effective they need higher volume levels. The less isolating capacity could be a positive aspect if used in situations where not hearing your surroundings could be dangerous.
The size of the housings of the SOUL K-POP allow them to fit inside the ears without too much friction or contact with unnecessary parts of the ears, consequently making them very comfortable. Fit is tight and secure enough to withstand normal activities without risking to fall from your ears.
Response to Equalization
Their response to equalization was good with noticeable improvement and enhancement among all audio frequencies but some issues were enhanced too like sibilance and slight harshness.
