Syllable D900P TWS
| Bluetooth | 6mm Driver |
? Syllable D900P, a true wireless headphone with very modern tech specs.
The Syllable D900P TWS features 6mm copper drivers, 16 ohms of impedance, 100dB of sensitivity and a latest generation v5.0 Bluetooth.
Syllable is mainly a wireless headphones manufacturer with a wide variety of models which some of them have gained a vast popularity like the:
Much like the QCY T1 Pro, QCY Q29 Pro, X3T, Alpha & Delta JAAP and LEZII X12, the Syllable D900P are truly wireless headphones with independent earpieces that are not attached to each other by a cable. They also have in common the use of external battery packs that can recharge the units on-the-fly several times. In the case of the Syllable D900P, their internal battery offers 3.5 hours of autonomy while the external case/pack adds 3 extra full charges.
One interesting difference with most true wireless headphones is that the Syllable D900P are not charged automatically when you place it in their case. Instead, their case has a dedicated button to power it on to charge the earpieces, this allows to place the units in the case to transport/protect them without having to be forced to charge – which will probably extend the life of their batteries through out the years (if charged and handled correctly)

When the units are charging a red LED light will turn on in each earpiece, also the case’s LED light turns blue to indicate that the battery pack is on. The case has a top cover with a magnetic closure system and is made of translucent plastics that allow to close the lid and still have the LED light’s feedback on the charging status.
The internal battery of the pack/case provides 3 extra full charges for both earpieces. Each full charge should last 3.5 hours – which is almost double the battery life of many true wireless headphones. Bass & Sub Bass
The Syllable D900P TWS bass is punchy and offers sufficient depth to cover many genres. Despite the modern tendency of Bluetooth headphones and their bassy tuning, Syllable decided to tune the Syllable D900P in a more balanced response instead of an extra-boosted and invasive style.
Expect a fun bass response but not a bass-only sound nor a too-boomy and out-of-control style but neither fear of anemic nor thin lower frequencies.
Applying an EQ, their sub-bass gets deeper and a bit of extra punch can be squeezed out but do not pretend them to become a bassy earphone.

Mids & Vocals
The Syllable D900P TWS mids have clear enough lower vocals and medium mid-bass bleed intensity that does not congest excessively their lower mids. Despite the aforementioned, their vocals can get a bit distant at times. Higher mids offer sufficient crispness and sound clear enough without getting harsh nor disturbing.
With an EQ their vocals get an extra “spiciness” and more alive sound, mid-bass bleed is reduced and overall sound gets cleaner.
Highs & Treble
The Syllable D900P TWS highs are bright and clear with marginal detail. Piercing highs do not show up and only some gentle sibilance might arise at rare moments of extreme sibilant peaks. Different to many average true wireless headphones, the Syllable D900P do not sound too dark.
An EQ makes their highs importantly brighter and allow them to start resolving a fair amount of detail.
The sound that leaks out of the Syllable D900P is inline with most average earphones. Their sound leaking levels are not super audible but some of their sound will be heard by nearby people if you are listening to music at an extreme volume and while using them at relatively quiet situation.

The response to EQ of the Syllable D900P is very efficient on mids and vocals with a much more clear sound and lower mid-bass bleed intensity; highs also benefit from notable extra brightness and some detail. The less responsive range were lower frequencies which did not offered a radical change.
