In the TINHiFi T2 series, the TINHiFi T2 Plus is the 3rd generation, preceded by the:

Unlike the older brothers that offered multi-drivers, the TINHiFi T2 Plus features a single dynamic driver configuration – the specific diameter of the DD is 10mm.

Another clear change from the older T2 models, is the shape of the earpieces. The new T2 Plus has a brand new design and looks that are far from the style of the T2 and T2 PRO.

This new design is curvier, smoother and way thinner without any protruding issues. Yet, the TINHiFi T2 Plus conserves the rugged, all-metal build that extends from the earphone itself to the cable details as well.

Accessories & Packaging

The TINHiFi T2 Plus includes 6 pair of eartips and an extra pair of foam eartips.

The earphones comes, as well, with a very nice cable with excellent build, soft materials and metal ends – both the MMCX connectors and the 3.5mm connectors are made of rugged metal.

The rectangular packaging is nearly as big as the older T2 models but has a less-fancy construction and opening design, with a standard 2-piece cardboard design.

The specs of the cable bundled with the T2 Plus is a high-quality 4 core silver-plated enameled +200D Kevlar.

Bass & Sub Bass

Bass on the TINHiFi T2 Plus is fairly punchy for most genres, yet users should not expect a super-bassy profile out of the T2 Plus.

As well, sub-bass is capable of offering sufficient depth for most tracks but will not make them a capable earphone for sub-bass demanding songs, as it’s lower end tends to get a bit rolled-off.

This does not make it a bass-anemic model, still their lower frequencies will have a punchy and fun sound that, simply, will not sound as bloated nor bouncy as other commercial earphones in this price range.

With an EQ, their bass can be pushed into a much punchier and bit deeper response but neither will show any jaw-dropping changes.

Through out our extreme basshead tests, the T2 Plus handled up to 40% of our testing amp max power. The results showed an unexpectedly massive increment of both mid-bass and sub-bass but no worthy basshead rumble and impact was ever achieved.

Mids & Vocals

The TINHiFi T2 Plus does an excellent job being able to offer a warm and pleasant midrange without falling into a muddy mess.

At the same time, male vocals show the same level of remarkable performance thanks to a full sound that does not become distant nor congested, allowing present lower-pitched vocals that sound alive.

Higher mids bring to the table an equally pleasant/balanced sound as the rest of their midrange; with sufficient crispness and clarity while not presenting harshness.

Female vocals benefit from this tuning by getting a clean sound with a warm tint and never becoming shouty. Users who enjoy a high-quality midrange but with a warm and cozy feel will love the TIN HiFi T2 Plus.

Using an EQ, the midrange of the T2 Plus can be finely tuned boosting or cleaning up specific sections of the audio spectrum with very efficient results and minor cons (when done correctly)

Highs & Treble

The listening experience with the highs of the T2 Plus was highly enjoyable with a smooth, yet not underwhelming sound.

As seen over their midrange, this TINHiFi earphone does a superb job keeping things pleasant with a remarkably balanced sound that can grant brightness and good highs extension without neither tuning into a excessively forward nor excessively rolled-off sounding earphone.

Probably, the less-performing detail of the T2 Plus might be their detail retrieval capacity that will not outshine headphones that presented an award-winning capability on this subject. Also, it is fair highlighting that some sibilance can be present on tracks prone to sibilance.

Sound Leak

The sound leaking out of the TINHiFi T2 Plus is marginally lower than on most normal headphones.

Their leakage will provide an acceptable performance for everyday normal activities or commuting but this one will hardly be usable in situations where silence is required (such as libraries)

Sound Isolation

The sound isolation provided by the TINHiFi T2 Plus is stronger than most average earphones with an immediate partial isolation of the environment – even without music.

This starting point allows them to easily reach absolute isolation by cranking up the volume.

Comfort

The TINHiFi T2 Plus has a thin profile and a curvy form factor without any single sharp edges.

As a result of this and due to their fairly small size, the T2 Plus were extremely comfortable to wear.

In addition to this, the deep fit ensured a stable fit for any normal activities while, even, fitting flush with the ears as to be used under helmets.

It is worth noting, like every metal-build headphone, the earpieces will get cold in freezing winter days.

Response to Equalization
