The Redragon K745 PRO has a lovely design and theme that flawlessly combines white and purple colors into a harmonious and fun looking keyboard.

This model has full-size 100% form factor with US ANSI layout, including 108 keys and 4 dedicated hotkeys.

Being a full 100% keyboard, the K745 Pro does not lack any of the TKL, navigation keys and also is equipped with a fully standard numpad plus the complete F number row.

Above the numpad you will find the 4 dedicated hotkeys that we mentioned; with pre-configured actions: Mute, Calc, Lock, Show Desktop. The keycaps have a corresponding icon that identifies the corresponding actions.

The space between the arrow keys and the navigation TKL keys is embellished by a wide horizontal RGB backlit strip LED light with dynamic lighting effects.

The bottoms case area holds 4 very rubberized feet and a 2-step kickstand design to adapt the angle of the keyboard to the ergonomic preference of each user.

The board of this Redragon keyboard has south-facing RGB LED and hot-swappable sockets that enable users to replace the pre-assembled switches with any other 3-pin/5-pin of their liking and without having to struggle with soldering DIY, risky operations.

On top of that, the keyboard is based on a gasket-mounted design combined with 5 layers of sound dampening to improve the user’s typing experience and enhance the sound properties.

The specific layers equipped inside the keyboard are:

• Bottom silicone dampener
• Bottom socket foam
• PET sound pad
• IXPE switch foam
• PO foam

The case of the Redragon is made of polycarbonate but its quality and material ruggedness feels way better than many plastic keyboards on the market.

KEYCAPS

The keycap set included with the Redragon ANTONIUM K745 PRO have are rounder and nicer profile than the standard Cherry used by a plethora of keyboards.

Moreover, the keycaps are made of durable PBT instead of being cheap ABS ones – thus, granting long-lasting non-fading keys printing.

The finish of the keycaps is subtly textured with a fine sandy feel which does a superb job against slippery keys.

In addition to this, the smart choice of white keycap’s body and big black fonts, make them a breeze to read in any lighting condition.

When buying the Redragon K745 PRO you are not given additional options for pre-assembled switches besides the Redragon Mint Mambo.

Nonetheless, these are of linear type (which most keyboard enthusiast prefer) and are quite remarkable. In fact, we have recently reviewed these switches and we find them to be very well-performing.

The weight and pre-travel nature of these Mint Mambo switches make them highly versatile for both gaming sessions and as a main daily driver.

If you are concerned about any possible scratching; fear not, the Redragon Mint Mambo come pre-lubed from factory and are delightfully smooth, scratch-free.

Unlike many other Redragon mechanical keyboards, the ANTONIUM K745 PRO has its detachable USB-C connector and mode switch positioned centered on the rear panel and not on the left edge of the case as we saw on the Redragon K719 – we prefer the centered alignment.

On top of the detachable USB-C connection, the K745 PRO can be used through Bluetooth or a wireless 2.4G connection (with the included dongle/receiver)
Talking about this 2.4G receiver, the rear case has a storage slot for it, so users do not lose it when not being used.

This rear case section also hold 2 switches, one for setting the keyboard in Mac or Windows layout and the other one is used to choosing the connectivity mode.

Exactly as with every other Redragon keyboard reviewed so far, the brand does not list the polling rate, scan rate, latency nor anti-ghosting details for the K745 PRO (NKRO is supported)

SOUND

The Redragon K745 Pro responded with a superior sound profile that can challenge other competitors asking 2 to 3 times the price of this one.

Out of the box, the sound without any modding showed a premium and impeccably clean and smooth poppy/thock quality but with a bit stealthier output – an oddity of the sound was that for some reason the “P” and “0” keys had a significantly stronger thocky profile.

Hollow, echo and pinging are neither present in the K745 Pro; while the pre-lubed stabilizers never showed rattling noises.

Similar to most keyboards of the last years, the battery inside this Redragon model has an amperage of 4000mAh, sufficient to power it for many days without worrying about recharging it daily.
