Redragon GALATIN PRO K719
| Mechanical Keyboard | 96% | Hot-Swappable | Wireless/Wired | Gasket-mounted |
Redragon GALATIN PRO K719, one of the newest mechanical keyboards from Redragon.
The Redragon GALATIN PRO K719 is part of the larger keyboards from the brand under the K7XX series.
In order to avoid confusion, you should know that there are other models from Redragon that are also named K719 but these 2 are different models. In fact, the Redragon GALATIN PRO K719 and Redragon ARTEMIS K719 PRO are not the same exact keyboard but throughout our review we might refer to the GALATIN PRO K719 as simply Redragon K719.

Redragon GALATIN PRO K719 Review
Tests & Scores
A
ACCESSORIES & PACKAGING
4.5/5
The Redragon GALATIN PRO K719 comes in the typical packaging seen on most of the latest keyboards from Redragon.
Inside you will also get:
• 4x extra switches
• Keycap/switch puller
• Angled USB-C cable with cap and cable organizer
D
DESIGN
4.5/5
The Redragon GALATIN PRO K719 is a 96% mechanical keyboard with US ANI layout that includes 95 keys and a knob.
The keyboard has a fresh aesthetic look thanks to a mainly white theme that extends from the case to the main keycaps.
At the same time, the K719 does not fall into a boring all-white design thanks to the use of pastel-green extra keys.
On the right upper corner you will find a display screen and a knob, while on the left proximity of the numpad you will see 4 color LED light indicators that inform the status of the battery Caps, Num and Scroll locks.
The bottom case holds 4 rubberized feet and two adjustable kickstands with dual positions.
D
DISPLAY SCREEN
4.25/5
The Redragon K719 includes a 1.41″ display, a size that is similar to many Epomaker keyboards and also what we have seen on some Keydous and Skyloong but the big difference with the others is that the user-interface is noticeably better on the Redragon. Mainly what makes a difference is a drastically better sharpness of the screen and the use of bigger fonts and icons that facilitate the reading at a normal distance – the only smaller fonts were seen on the date and 3-digital charge info.
The screen uses a color TFT display with no loss of contrast nor visibility when looked at an angle.
With the display you gain access to quick insights such as:
• Date
• Time
• Battery charge icon
• Battery charge in 3-digits percentage
• Win/Mac mode
• Connection mode
• Caps Lock
• Scroll Lock
• Num Lock
In addition to this, the screen can play animated GIF (you can upload yours from the PC software) and also gives access to a configuration menu with control of settings like backlight effect, color, brightness, speed, language selection, layout (Win/Mac) and manual setting of manual setting of the time – a nice feature that we have not seen on other keyboards which, instead, force you to set the time by syncing with the software.

CONSTRUCTION & BUILD
4/5
The case of the Redragon K719 is made of plastic but does not feel flimsy as the plastic keyboards of nearly all popular gaming keyboards from Logitech and Razer.
What’s more, the GALATIN PRO is equipped with a north-facing RGB backlit, hot-swappable board that allows users to replace switches without any soldering involved.
Unexpectedly at this price point, the keyboard holds inside a gasket mount design with quint-layers of specialized sound dampening material; including a silicone bottom pad, bottom socket foam, PET pad, IXPE switch foam and to PO foam.
KC
KEYCAPS
5/5
The keycaps set included with the keyboard have OEM profile – a profile that we personally like a lot.
The quality of the keycaps is superb, being made of PBT and not the cheap ABS used in mainstream keyboards; which then grants fade-free lifespan and oil-resistance.
The keycaps make use of an optimal combination of dark fonts over white keys and big an clear fonts printing, resulting in excellent readability without effort.
The main white keycaps have smooth finely textured finish and the green ones showing a bit more sandy grit.
The knob presents a silent but tactile feedback per notch with the right amount of resistance that, still, makes it possible to be rotated with a single finger.
SW
SWITCHES
4/5
The Redragon K719 comes pre-assembled with Mint Mambo switches, which are of linear type.
KTT and ACGAM manufacture a switch with the exact same name but the ones inside the Redragon GALATIN PRO K719 are not from either brand; instead the switches are from Redragon themselves.
The switches did not present scratching and provided a good balance of travel and force, making them efficient for both gaming and typing.
The actuation force is a bit heavier than many mainstream linear switches but we always find this quality to be better for error-free typing.
At the same time, the switches have a short actuation travel, allowing them to be useful for gaming.

Actuation travel: 2.0mm
Actuation force: 40gf
Total travel: 3.60mm
CON
CONNECTIVITY
4.25/5
The keyboard can connect to your PC with either the detachable USB-C cable connection or can be freely used wirelessly.
Wirelessly, you can opt to select a Bluetooth connection or a better performing 2.4G wireless connection – the 2.4G connection needs the use of the included receiver that is placed on the right edge of the case in a storage slot.
The left edge of the case holds the USB connector and a physical switch that sets the keyboard in either 2.4G or Bluetooth mode.
A common particularity with Redragon keyboards is the they do not go too in-depth with the listing of the technical specifications that some hardcore gamers could appreciate; specs such as polling rate, scanning rates, latency and anti-ghosting capabilities are not specified – yet, we can assure you that the keyboard has anti-ghosting NKRO according to our tests.
S
SOUND
4.5/5
Despite the friendly price, the K719 exhibited a well-tuned clacky-poppy sound with thocky seasoning while not showing issues with pinging nor hollow noises.
If being nitpicky, we could say that hardcore keyboards enthusiasts might want to add a slight bit of extra lube to the spacebar stabs; the rest of the stabilizers were perfectly pre-lubed from factory.
B
BATTERY
3.75/5
As many other current keyboards, the Redragon GALATIN PRO K719 is powered by a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 4000mAh.
Due to the nice looking RGB backlight and handy display screen, some users might have appreciated seeing a battery slightly larger.
