DESIGN
4.5/5
The Redragon WYVERN K761 PRO is a large 104-keys, full size mechanical keyboard with a complete TKL section, fully equipped numpad, complete F number row and even a display screen + knob.
At first sight, you could think that the Redragon WYVERN K761 PRO and the Redragon Terraflare K762 PRO are the same keyboard model with a different color, due to the high similarities in size, features and design but they are actually totally different models with, even, some clear visible differences.
Unlike the K762 PRO, the WYVERIN K761 PRO includes 4 physical dedicated RGB status LED lights aligned in a column next to the numpad and, also, it has both switches sitting above the arrow keys on the top panel section of the case.
The switches placed on the top cover are a much smarter move than the standard placement on the back edge, allowing users to reach and control their connectivity switch with less guess work – the only drawback is that the brand opted for white engravings over white, so the identification of each position of the switch is a bit difficult to read.
Also, the case itself is totally different (not only the color) and a dedicated slot for the dongle is hidden on the bottom case and not on the back edge like the K762.

DISPLAY SCREEN
4.25/5
The display screen has a modest size of 1.41″ but makes good use of its reduced space with large fonts for the clock, colorful icons and status notifications – the date, though, has tiny fonts.
Apart from what you see at plain sight, the screen also hides a dedicated menu to control the backlight RGB LEDs of the board (brightness, effect, speed) and can also give access to time setup, language selection, volume control input, battery status and GIF animations.

CONSTRUCTION & BUILD
4/5
The K761 PRO is made of plastic, like 90% of the keyboards on the market but making use of much better plastics quality and quantity – you feel it right away when holding the keyboard.
Different than most of those 90% keyboards, the Redragon holds inside way better components like a hot-swappable board that allows the replacement of switches without soldering and advanced internals such as 5 sound dampening layers and a gasket mounted design.

KEYCAPS
5/5
The keycaps of the Redragon WYVERN K761 PRO are the exact same as the ones of the Terraflare K762 PRO (with a different color theme). This means that are the same outstanding PBT shine-through type that combine with the north-facing RGB LEDs of the board to provide full backlighting and perfect nighttime readability while preserving the quality standards of top-notch PBT and not ABS keycaps.
The knob has good tactility with per-notch feedback but without any audible clicks.
SW
SWITCHES
4/5
The K761 PRO comes pre-assembled with the same linear switches that we have seen on other recent Redragon keyboards and that we actually really liked them for their versatility and feel.
The switches model is the Mint Mambo exclusively as you cannot opt for any other pre-assembled switches when buying this keyboard.
The Mint Mambo respond with a good balance for either daily typing or even gaming and performing very well for both ends of the spectrum.
CON
CONNECTIVITY
4.25/5
In line with mid and high-tier models from the brand, the Redragon WYVERN K761 PRO is a tri-mode keyboard. This means that the keyboard can be used wirelessly or wired (detachable USB-C cable) and can be decided to use either the Bluetooth connectivity or 2.4G connection for wireless operation.
To select the connectivity mode, you can use the switches that are found on the top case (that we mentioned in the Design section)
S
SOUND
5/5
Redragon has been nailing the sound of their upper-level keyboards without missing a shot so far (at least the models that we have reviewed)
The Redragon WYVERN K761 PRO is, yet, another case of pristine and high-quality sound profile out of the box without the need of any mod.
In particular, the sound flavor of this model could be defined thocky-poppy with a tiny bit quieter personality than some overly loud thocky keyboards.
Also, like most other Redragon keyboards reviewed to date; the stabilizers came perfectly pre-lubed and never showed rattling noises.
B
BATTERY
3.5/5
A battery capacity like on this keyboard (4000mAh) is borderline for a full-sized keyboard with gorgeous RGB lighting and a display screen; we prefer this capacity for 75% and smaller keyboards with no display screens.
