The FANTECH EOS PRO WPG15 makes use of the form factor of XBOX controllers with alternate row of thumbsticks and D-Pad on the bottom left placement.
In total, this FANTECH gamepad has 15 buttons and 8 positions D-pad and 2 thumbsticks.
As an XBOX-inspired gamepad, the main buttons use the X, Y, A, B naming and placement but unlike the standard XBOX controller, these are backlit offering a much nice look and better usability on all lighting conditions.
In addition to the common X, Y, A, B, RT, RB, LT, RB buttons, the FANTECH EOS PRO WPG15 includes 2 programmable RL and ML buttons and trigger lock for the RB and LB buttons and 5 multi-function buttons placed on the upper front (such as a Turbo button, Macro programming mode, +/- buttons, etc.)
The case/shell of the gamepad is translucent and benefits from dedicated backlit LEDs on the board illuminate the thumbstick sections and surrounding areas.
On the center section you will also find a 4-light indicator that gives information about the connectivity, battery and charging of the gamepad.

The FANTECH EOS PRO WPG15 has hall-effect sticks (specifically K0Silver JH16) that ensure drift-free issues, high accuracy and control; also the LT and RT triggers are built with hall-effect triggers.
Moreover, the gamepad includes an adjustable 4-level vibrating motor that allows users to fine-tune the intensity of the output vibrations, a dedicated built-in audio port with a stereo 3.5mm connector design compatible with standard headsets/headphones and an internal motion sensor for compatible games.
The main buttons have membrane design while the case/shell has a grippier black back plastic section and a smoother non-textured front plastic shell.
Overall, the gamepad feel well constructed with just some rattling noises coming from the central, extra buttons like the Turbo one (for example).

Hardware-wise, the FANTECH EOS PRO WPG15 offers plenty of customization options and included addons such as detachable/interchangeable thumbsticks with shorter and taller options, 3 different levels of O-ring pressure flavors, 3 D-pads detachable designs.
From the software side, the gamepad offers some options and even a macro programming for the MR and ML back buttons that record delay too but the limiting factor on the software control, edit and setting of the device is that there is not PC software for this gamepad.
With an internal on-board memory all customizations and macros will be saved inside the gamepad itself, which will be a welcomed feature for mobile gamers.

CONNECTIVITY

Despite the friendly price, the FANTECH EOS PRO WPG15 can connected in 3 different ways that include a wired one and 2 wireless options.
Wired, the gamepad uses a detachable USB-C connection, while wirelessly you can choose to use the gamepad through a Bluetooth 5.0 connection or with StrikeSpeed 2.4G wireless tech with the included dongle.
In spite of some manual reading to get the right buttons sequence to connect the gamepad, the FANTECH EOS PRO WPG15 presented stable connections without hiccups nor unexpected disconnections on any of the tests performed.
Moreover, this FANTECH gamepad has a 4-position switch that allows the device to be set in a dedicated mode to be compatible with either Android, Nintendo Switch, PC or Mac. Thanks to its Bluetooth connection and dedicated Android mode, the FANTECH EOS PRO WPG15 is a great gamepad for mobile gaming.
A detail noticed, several BT devices showed up when trying to pair it. Despite a “Fantech EOS PRO” was one of them, the gamepad did not paired with that one, instead it paired with a listed device named “Pro Controller”

PERFORMANCE

A latest firmware upgrade for the FANTECH EOS PRO WPG15 has incorporated a major update over its polling rate pushing the gamepad from 125Hz to 1000Hz.
We noticed that the LT and RT are particularly light, this can be a possible advantage for shooting, fighting, arcade and fps games but it will be way too light for racing games to have a finer control of your gas (mostly if you come from heavier gamepads like Xbox official one) – you can boost the quickness of the LT and RT for fps games by using the quick-trigger locks.
The analog thumbsticks also showed a light travel resistance but the gamepad allowed a nice customization of their feel by swapping the desired Pro Aim O-Ring set to get the desired lighter or heavier feel on each thumbstick independently.
We also found that the addons of D-pads flavors was a nice touch to get the right response and tactile feel from the gamepad according to the game being played.

BATTERY

The FANTECH EOS PRO WPG15 has an internal rechargeable battery with a capacity of 600mAh with a rated standby time of 18 hours and a charging time of 3 hours.
A detail that we find odd is that the gamepad has no way to fully turn it off besides leaving it idle and letting it go to standby mode.
Most probably a dedicated and full power-off state and button could extend the battery drainage while keeping it stored.
