The Epomaker Galaxy100 Lite is a mechanical keyboard with a 1800 layout including 100 keys and a knob.

Reducing the space dedicated to the typical TKL navigational keys, the Epomaker Galaxy100 Lite is able to have a significantly smaller size than a 100% full-sized keyboard. In spite of this, all the TKL nav. keys are still present in the Galaxy100 Lite by the smart move of placing Home, End, Print and Delete keys as a dedicated row that follows the F9-F12 row and extends over the numpad.

Aesthetically, the Galaxy100 Lite has an airy feel thanks to the cream-white powder-sprayed case combined with a nice keycaps set that combines a fading pastel-cream range that goes from pastel-white-yellow to cream-white and light pastel-blue.

A detail that we noticed was that there is no dedicated slot for the wireless dongle but the brand created a system with a silicone hook that holds the dongle to the included braided cable.

The keyboard has a superb case made of CNC aluminum alloy which is way above anything that you can get with a plastic keyboard – we might be biased, but we love metal keyboards and the heavy-duty, beefy experience that you get out of them.

Of course, as expected by a metal-constructed keyboard, the Epomaker Galaxy100 Lite is much heavier than a PC or ABS keyboard, yet in comparison with other metal models, the Galaxy100 Lite is lighter as it does not reach 2kg of weight – the exact weight is 1.66kg.

Internally, the Epomaker is as premium-built as on the outside with a gasket–mount design that includes a hot-swappable board with south facing RGB LED, a PP plate, horizontal flex-cut and carrying inside a quint-layer design dedicated to sound dampening and better typing feel (PET bottom pad, EMDP switch socket pad, PET sound pad, IXPE switch pad, Poron pad)

A further welcomed feature is the fact that the keyboard is QMK/VIA compatible which means that it can be fully programmed through VIA in a web-browser and does not need any software to customize, program nor retain the customizations.

Construction-wise, the keycaps are coherently as good as its case, with full PBT dye-sub material; thus, granting non-fading and long-lasting keys.

The Cherry keycaps have excellent contrast with darker fonts over cream-white/yellow/blue keycap’s body; this make them much more readable under all lighting conditions of your desktop environment than low-contrast designs.

The set has a While the finish has a pleasantly micro-textured feel improving grip but not becoming too sandy.

Also inline with the rest of the device, the knob is made of metal with tactile but silent rotational feedback and being light enough to be operated with single finger.

The model that we are reviewing is equipped with Feker Marble White switches, which are lighter switches than the Epomaker but both still share a similar multi-purpose usability and efficiency.

The Feker Marble come pre-lubed from factory and fall within the average in trigger force like many very popular linear switches, yet provide a much faster and responsive performance thanks to the short 2.0mm of pre-travel.

Tactile-wise, the switches are extremely smooth and do not show any traces of scratching.

To be honest, we are quite enjoying the typing experience provided by the Feker Marble White.

Whether you are looking at this one as a daily driver or a gaming companion, the Galaxy100 Lite will get you perfectly covered with a the possiblity to use it wired or wirelessly; while retaining gaming specs such as 1000Hz of polling rate (wired or 2.4G), N-key rollover and as little as 2.81ms of latency.

Wired, the keyboard uses a detachable USB-C connection that is placed centered on the rear edge of the case, next to it you will find the switch to set the connection mode of the keyboard and also decide if you want to set it in Bluetooth or 2.4G wireless modes.

Right out of the box and without any modding, the Epomaker Galaxy100 Lite presented a premium sound profile.

You can expect a sound flavor that mixes qualities such as poppy, marbly and thocky; adding up the 3 of them into a delightfully refined and clean sound.

In order to not spoil the experience, the stabilizers came perfectly pre-lubed from factory. Furthermore, no noise-related issues were present; with complete absence of rattling, pinging, hollow and resonance.
