The Mechlands Vibe108 has a 100% ANSI US layout with 104 keys and a knob.

This layout gives it full usability without limiting the user’s capabilities to access all the keys functions and not needing to do weird multi-key combinations to cover simple key functions.

Aesthetically, the Vibe108 has a light-theme with an all-white case and light-colored keycaps centered on white and light-blue gamuts.

Nonetheless, the keyboard does not look dull or uninspiring, the light-colored theme gives it a uncluttered and fresh feel.

Sitting between the ESC and F1 keys, you will see a column of status lights that give users a quick insight of Caps Lock, Num Lock, Scroll Lock and battery.

The accents of one strip light on the bottom left edge of the case and a another one on the bottom right edge, the all-white case receives a poppy RGB accent that makes it fun and stand out from the masses.

On the top right edge of the upper case area, you will find a knob and 3 dedicated media controls but these media buttons are not backlit like the rest of the keys.

Like on most modern keyboards, the case of the Vibe108 is made of ABS plastic but the quality of the material and a total weight above 1kg, gives this Mechlands keyboard a more confident feel than others.

The keyboard is equipped with a hot-swappable PCBA, thus users can replace the switches without any soldering involved – the board is south-facing RGB backlit.

Also, inside, the keeb sports a gasket structure design with a quint-layer dampening system, polycarbonate plate and flex-cut.

On the bottom, the case holds 4 generous silicone feet and a 2-step adjustable kickstand.

KEYCAPS

The keycaps of the Vibe108 are made of durable PBT material with double-shot printing and are of Cherry type.

The light blue fonts over white keys make them easily visible and readable without much effort while looking clean and fun.

In addition to this, the knob is made of metal and has a subtle but feelable tactile feedback. A further details that we noticed about the knob is that it is nimbler than what you usually see on competitors; which we liked as it was not overly loose but easier to handle with a single finger sliding from the side

While purchasing your version of the Mechlands Vibe108 you are able to choose the color of the keyboard and also the switches pre-assembled from factory.

The brand allows you choose 2 different style and models:

-Mechlands Cream Mint switches – linear
-Mechlands Vela Silent switches – linear silent

The specific variant that we are reviewing is the white one with Cream White switches.

These linear switches feel nice to type with thanks to the bit heavier than average personality and short pre-travel which we found to result in a good companion for a lower rate of typing errors, yet still being capable of working as a multi-function switch for even average gaming.

The overall sound of the Mechlands VIBE108 has a refined poppy thocky style with some specific keys being massively thocky; such as the backspace, Shift and Enter keys.

Fortunately, the keyboard leaves the factory coming perfectly pre-lubed and this includes the plate-mount stabilizers that do not present any rattling and are neither mushy.
