? QCY T2C / QCY QS2 a true wireless headphone from the brand that can also be found as QCY T2 and QCY T2S.

The QCY T2C / QCY QS2 features a 6mm dynamic driver, Bluetooth 5.0 and a IPX4 waterproof rating.

Each earpiece is rounded, tiny sized and hold angled nozzles to fit tighter and deeper inside the ears.

This is one of the latest releases of the QCY T and Q lines, being a newer model than the:

• QCY QS1 / QCY T1 / QCY T1C
• QCY T1 PRO Touch

The construction of the QCY QS2 /T2C is fully made of plastic, resulting in very light weighted earpieces.

Inside each earpiece there is a 43mAh battery while the charging case/battery pack holds a whopping 800mAh battery inside that can grant a total of 32 hours of music playback.

Operation & Control

Each earpiece on the QCY T2C / QCY QS2 has a button that can be used for:

Left or Right Button:

• A single press: Play, Pause music
• 1 second press and hold: Power On
• 3 second press and hold while turned ON: Power off
• Turned ON and while in standby with no music or call: 1 second press and hold activates Siri or voice commands.

Left Button:

• Double press: Previous song

Right Button:

• Double press: Next song

Calls Commands:

• A single press: Answer call
• 2x Press of Middle Button: Redial, if there is a 2nd incoming call it can be used to answer the 2nd call and put on hold the first call. Later can be used to switch from one call to the other
• Double press: Mute/un-mute call
• 1 second press and hold: During incoming call, reject call

LED Status Light: The QCY T2C / QCY QS2 have a LED lights on each earpiece and on the charging case. The light on the earpieces indicate the status of the units, such as: pairing mode, power on, power off, etc. While the battery case has 2 frontal LED lights that independently inform the status of each right and left earpiece while attached to the case.

Charging: The earpieces magnetically attach to the charging case ports. Once in place, the battery pack will begin to charge them if needed. Each earpiece can offer 4 hours of battery life + the additional full charge cycles that the battery case can offer on-the-go.

The case itself can be charged by connecting it through the back micro USB port to a compatible USB charger. A full charge should take 2 hours and provide 32 hours of playback.

Bass & Sub Bass

The QCY T2C / QCY QS2 has an exciting sound out of the box with it’s very punchy and fun tuning that will make happy listeners looking for powerful bass.

Mid-bass is not the only energetic quality of it’s lower frequencies, their lowest end reaching the sub-bass region can get as deep as required by most genres.

Overall, we would say that the QCY T2C have a bassy profile but with a well-achieved cut-off on their upper-bass that does not “kill-off” the rest of the sound signature.

With an EQ, both mid and sub bass can be pushed for seriously a deep response and a much punchier profile.

Mids & Vocals

The QCY T2C / QCY QS2 have a very warm midrange with some mid-bass bleed but that helps add up to their cozy feel on their lower midrange.

Despite this, their male vocals are clear with no excessive congestion.

Reaching their higher mids, female vocals sound alive and clean while notes in these ranges will be crisp.

Fortunately, the QCY QS2 / QCY T2C does not exhibit harshness issues nor annoying peaks.

Male vocals and lower mids can be cleared up with an EQ removing all the presence of the mid-bass bleed and pushing up their middle mids, with great success and remarkable results with no major empowering on harshness.

Highs & Treble

The QCY T2C / QCY QS2 highs resolve and unexpectedly good amount of detail with, also, a nice balance between brightness and smooth sound that sits in the middle of a fun tuning that is neither too rolled-off nor annoyingly fatiguing.

A pleasant characteristic of their highs is the absence of sharp sibilance and piercing peaks.

Using an EQ, the QCY QS2 can reveal huge brightening and opening up of their highs with a much more detailed sound too.

Sound Leak

The sound leaking out of the QCY QS2 is somewhat lower than on most average headphones, allowing to crank up the volume higher than other competitors before they can become too hearable by nearby people.

Sound Isolation

The sound isolation provided by the QCY T2C / QCY QS2 is very efficient, providing immediate partial isolation of the environment and reaching almost absolute isolation if dialing up the volume above moderate.

Comfort

The QCY T2C / QCY QS2 have a very small footprint and light weight, which combined with the rounded form factor provide a pain-free experience; even after hours of wearing them on.

Different to the QCY Q29 PRO and QCY T1 PRO Touch, the QCY QS2 does not have any rubberized parts nor wings to tighten up it’s fit, yet the unit did never risk of falling out the ears through any normally active use.

Response to Equalization

The response to EQ of the QCY TC2 was very efficient, showing vast retuning potential over the whole audio spectrum, intenser bass, cleaner mids and brighter highs could be individually achieved without major cons.
