? X3T Touch, a true wireless headphone with friendly price and some unexpected surprises (good ones)

The X3T Touch Control features a Bluetooth v4.2, a Qualcomm CSR chip, 7 hours of battery life and CVC 6.0 noise cancelling microphones.

The X3T are fully built in plastic, from the earpieces up to the battery case/pack; nonetheless, they do not feel fragile nor too cheap.

Operation & Control

The touch control of the X3T allows you to do the following:

Right Touch Button:

• A 6 second press and hold: Power On and set to pairing mode
• A single press: Play, Pause music or Answer/End calls
• A 3 second press and hold: Power On
• 3 second press and hold while turned ON: Power off
• A double tap (in 1 second) with an incoming call: Reject call
• A double tap (in 1 second): Next song
• A triple tap (in 1 second): Previous song

Left Touch Button:

• A double tap (in 1 second): Volume up
• A triple tap (in 1 second): Volume down
• A single press: Play, Pause music
• A 3 second press and hold: Power On
• 3 second press and hold while turned ON: Power off

Battery Case Touch Button:

• The battery case/pack has also a touch control button that is used to turn on or off their charging function (to charge the earpieces). To turn it on and off it is needed to tap twice in the zone of the case that says “Touch Twice”

LED Status Light: Each earpiece of the X3T has a LED light that will notify of the different possible status of the units, like: ON, pairing mode, charging, charged. Also the battery pack has a LED light that confirms when the case is turned and charging or off.

Charging: The X3T earpieces are charged by placing them in the magnetic-connected battery case. This case can either charge them on-the-go or can charge them while connecting the case to a USB wall charger (through it’s micro USB connection)

Bass & Sub Bass

The X3T bass is strong with energetic mid-bass and profound sub-bass. Their style is tuned to fulfill the likes of people that enjoy fun, full and powerful bass response. Their lower frequencies can fulfill practically any music genre’s bass requirements.

Applying an EQ, sub-bass reaches crazy depth with even a mild in-ear rumble; mid-bass also gets punchier but the most remarkable revamping happens on the lowest end of their bass.

Mids & Vocals

The X3T Touch Control mids are very warm and exhibit mid-bass bleed. Despite the degree of congestion added by their mid-bass bleed, their vocals offer a sufficiently alive sound. Higher mids provide some crispness but are far from being forward and consequently never become harsh.

With an EQ lower mids sound less congested and higher mids crispier but you will have to be careful or some boxy sound will be introduced. Still do not expect an extreme makeover of their mids.

Highs & Treble

The X3T Touch Control highs resolve a bit of detail and grant some brightness but have a decisively dark sound. Piercing and sibilant highs are two terms that the X3T Touch do not include in their vocabulary (meaning that they never show fatiguing highs).

Listeners preferring smooth highs to bright and detailed or less-demanding listeners could appreciate their highs.

Differently than mids response to EQ, highs respond much more efficiently providing a much brighter, open and detailed sound.

Sound Leak

The sound that leaking from the X3T is above average and inline with most normal earphones. Their sound is hearable by nearby people, at quiet situations if you dial up the volume substantially.

Sound Isolation

Noise isolation of the X3T Touch Control is substantial, providing an efficient partial isolation at moderate volume settings. If you decide to dial up the volume of your device, the X3T will exponentially increase their isolation efficiency.

Comfort

The X3T certainly look more protruding than the QCY T1 Pro, Syllable D900P and QCY Q29 Pro but this additional footprint does not translate into discomfort or cumbersome usage. Instead, the X3T are very comfortable to wear and withhold their place securely to support any normal daily activity.

The reason behind their larger size is that each earpiece holds inside a bigger battery (85 mAh) than most true wireless headphones and this allows them to offer double the battery life of their competitors reaching up to 7 hours of internal battery use in mono mode and 5 hours in stereo mode + the additional full charge cycles that the battery pack offers with it’s 700 mAh internal battery.

The response to EQ of the X3T was very notable in their high’s brightness and general improvement and in the insane level of additional sub-bass depth.
