The brand new Xiaomi Redmi AirDots S / Xiaomi TWSEJ05LS have been upgraded to a whole new Bluetooth system, ditching the master/slave connection and making use of a much user-friendly and more stable system where both earbuds are, actually, connecting directly to the phone.

Mids and vocals on the Xiaomi Redmi AirDots S are cozy and certainly warm-sounding.
On the other hand, these Xiaomi true wireless earbuds do not suffer as much as other warm-tuned earphones of profound mid-bass bleeding nor sound as crowded. It is, still, worth noting that the Redmi AirDots S DO exhibit a palpable amount of mid-bass bleed.
Male vocals will benefit from the extra layer of warmth while female vocals and upper mids show a friendly but non-muffled tuning.
Harshness is not extremely frequent, yet it’s intensity and frequency will mostly depend on each track and it’s proneness to harsh spikes.
Applying an EQ, lower mids can be “reorganized”, helping to lower the mid-bass bleed effect and spicing up their female vocals – be conservative, though, to avoid feeding up too much upper mids and harshness peaks.
