The controls of the Bluedio T ENERGY are placed on the right side of the neckbud and allows you to:

The Active Noise Cancelling of the Bluedio T ENERGY can be activated by moving the switch to the ON position. The Bluedio T ENERGY bass is boomy and boosted with super punchy mid-bass and very deep sub-bass. Their bass style is highly energetic and fun sounding, their powerful response will cover bassheads and bass-intense music listeners.

Mids & Vocals

The Bluedio T ENERGY mids show strong mid-bass bleed, super warm sound and congested lower vocals. Higher and middle mids are clear and crisp and do not sound distant nor congested. Harsh peaks can be reached at times of intense notes.

With an EQ there is a noticeable reduction of their mid-bass bleed and their harsh peaks but neither will ever be fully cancelled.

Highs & Treble

The Bluedio T ENERGY TN Active Noise Cancelling Bluetooth highs provide some brightness, that will be enough for normal listening sessions, but do not resolve much detail (or any at all). Piercing peaks can show up, sibilance is present too but it is smoother and way less intense than their piercing highs.

An EQ tames down their piercing peaks and detail can also be revealed but if you decide to EQ to reduce the piercing highs there will also be an important loss of brightness and a much more muddy and boomy sound.

Sound Isolation

The Bluedio T ENERGY fit, design and seal allows them to achieve a great degree of passive isolation that will very efficiently isolate you from your surroundings – no matter which volume level you set. Moreover, they include Active Noise Cancelling technology to actively reduce noises even further.

We measured their Active Noise Cancelling performance and they revealed an average of -15 dB of reduction and a maximum of -20 dB in a very constrained frequency range (+/- @60 Hz). Sometimes ANC introduces perceivable white noise, the Bluedio T ENERGY does it (if you prefer a stronger isolation with little-to-no white noise take a look at the Xiaomi Mi Noise Cancelling Earphone or the BOSE QuietComfort20)

The angled nozzles and smooth, curvy design gives them a great fit and comfort level making them usable for hours without problems.

Response to Equalization

The Bluedio T ENERGY had a huge response to lower frequencies equalization with a super punchy and deep mid-bass and sub-bass but lower-mids were not able to fully remove mid-bass bleed nor their harsh peaks. Piercing highs were softened but loosing brightness.
