Bluedio T6 Turbine
| Over-Ear | Bluetooth | 57 mm Driver | Active Noise Cancelling |
? Bluedio T6 Turbine, the latest over-ear headphone from Bluedio.
The Bluedio T6 Turbine features very large 57 mm dynamic drivers, active noise cancelling technology and a wireless Bluetooth 4.2 connection. The T6 holds 1 multi-function button instead of 4 buttons that the T5 and T4 had.
The headband is thinner and the overall weight is significantly lighter now than on previous Bluedio Turbine models.
The build material of the headband and hinges is metal while the earcups are mostly constructed in plastic. Nonetheless, their plastics quality is rugged and with a somewhat pearled and metal-looking finish.
The cups of the Bluedio T6 Turbine can be rotated fully flat and tilted for a better fit and easier transport.
You will see that no USB-C to 3.5mm cable is included but despite this, the Bluedio T6 Turbine can also be used used plugged and with no battery charge but you will have to buy the cable or use the one of the Bluedio T5 or Bluedio T4.
The Bluedio T6 Turbine is compatible with Android and Apple devices.

MF Button:

- A single press: Play, Pause music
- A long press and hold while turned ON: Power off

Accessories & Packaging
The Bluedio T6 Turbine unboxing results in: charging cable (Type-C), velvet style pouch (very nice), exact same packaging (cardboard box) of the Bluedio T5 and inferior to the Bluedio T4.
This time Bluedio does not include ane USB Type-C to 3.5mm cable.

B
Bass & Sub Bass
ANC Off – Bluetooth On
While using the Bluedio T6 Turbine with it’s Bluetooth and Active Noise Cancelling turned off, their bass is punchy and energetic as to cover any bassy music genre while their sub-bass reaches good depth.
Their bass tends to a boomy and bouncy style but this is not an issue that should worry Bluedio fans.
Applying an EQ, substantial extra punch can be added and some depth also but sub-bass can start to distort if over EQ’ed.
7.5/10
ANC On – Bluetooth On
Using the Bluedio T6 Turbine with ANC turned on, their bass gets very noticeably less bouncy and less boomy resulting in a cleaner sound but also in a less punchy mid-bass response.
Overall, if you prefer more pronounced bass you should try to use them with their ANC turned off, at moments where you prefer a cleaner but also less bassy sound you can turn on the ANC function.

M
Mids & Vocals
ANC Off – Bluetooth On
The Bluedio T6 Turbine mids, while used with their ANC off, present mid-bass bleed and lower vocals show some congestion but do not sound distant nor laid back.
Higher mids are crisp and clear, yet harshness is not a problem.
Applying an EQ, higher mids and lower vocals can be emphasized but if overdone their overall mids can introduce some boxiness and tinny tint.
7.25/10
ANC On – Bluetooth On
After turning on the Active Noise Cancelling function of the Bluedio T6 there is a great reduction of mid-bass bleed making their mids much clearer and better sounding while conserving their highs crispness, alive vocals and no harshness.
This mode drastically reduced the sound quality in the previous model (the Bluedio T5, read about it HERE) but now the brand has fixed and vastly improved it on the Bluedio T6.
7.5/10
H
Highs & Treble
ANC Off – Bluetooth On
The Bluedio T6 Turbine offer sufficient brightness and detail for normal listeners. High-demanding listeners might find them not resolving a big amount of detail and having a darkish tint.
With an EQ, highs can be given additional brightness but no extra detail will be resolved.
6.75/10
ANC On – Bluetooth On
The noticeable reduction of bass in this mode allows more space and an, overall, cleaner response of their highs. Moreover, some additional detail and brightness is perceivable.
6.75/10
SL
Sound Leak
The sound leaking out of the the Bluedio T6 Turbine will be heard by nearby people if you dial up the volume.
Nonetheless, under normal city situations their leaking levels will blend in and will not cause any inconvenience as their leakage is not extreme.

Sound Isolation
Passive noise isolation of the Bluedio T6 Turbine is inline with most average headphones but their potential gets way more efficient once their Active Noise Cancelling is turned on.
The ANC of the Bluedio T6 Turbine does not have the turn on delay that the Bluedio T5 has (read more about this in our review of the Bluedio T5)
We measured the Active Noise Cancelling performance of the Bluedio T6 and it showed a substantial reduction averaging in approximately -15dB to -13dB, with it’s strongest reduction peaking at -19.4dB near 140Hz and with it’s least efficient reduction at 100dB with -9dB.

C
Comfort
The clamping force of the Bluedio T6 is clearly stronger than on the Bluedio T4 and Bluedio T5, which some may appreciate.
The, now, oval-shaped and no longer round earcups and cushions provide a much larger surface and a more over-ear experience than the T5, T4 and Bluedio T3.
Moreover, the Bluedio T6 is now significantly lighter than previous Bluedio Turbine headphones which results in less fatigue over long listening sessions.

EQ
Response to Equalization
The response to EQ of the Bluedio T6 gives them a fair margin to tune their mids, highs and bass but do not expect extreme modification of neither.
