EarFun Air
| True Wireless | Dynamic Driver | IPX7 |
? EarFun Air, the newest true wireless earbud from earfün.
This new model has a brand new design but still offers modern features such as touch controls and waterproof resistance.
Indeed, the EarFun Air carries a very competent IPX7 waterproof rating, which should make them capable of holding up against dangerous situations (water-related) without damaging, in comparison to many other true wireless earbuds.
Inside each earpiece, this TWS has a single dynamic driver configuration with a composite bio-cellulose drivers – yet, the diameter is not specified.
Among other special features, the EarFun offers USB Type-C connectors, wireless charging compatibility, 4 microphones and single & mono modes.
The EarFun Air is also called earfun TW200, though you will always find it as EarFun Air.
Regarding battery life, this true wireless earbuds are supposed to reach up to 35 hours of runtime (when combining the OTG battery charges given by the battery case) thanks to a large 500mAh battery inside the battery pack and 55mAh batteries in each earpiece – the earpieces can provide up to 7 hours on their own.

A
Accessories & Packaging
The EarFun Air unboxing results in 4 pair of eartips and a USB Type-C charging cable – of course, the battery pack/charging case comes with the unit.
The packaging is nicely built, with a rectangular dimension that is nearly two times bigger than many other budget TWS on the market and way more rugged construction.
The unit will be more than well-protected inside this packaging.

B
Bass & Sub Bass
The EarFun Air has a meaty and very punchy bass, right out of the box – users will not need any EQ to feed up their bass.
Their lower frequencies will grant fun and exciting listening sessions for users who like a bassy profile on their headphones.
As point of reference, music genres such as electronic and bassy-pop will have no issues nor shortage of bass on any track.
In addition to this, both mid-bass and sub-bass offered by this TWS were strong and impacting but did not become overly boosted as to be classified as a “bass-only” headphone.
With an EQ, their initial bass response is able to be boosted as to become a decently capable TWS for EDM and more depth-hungry genres.

M
Mids & Vocals
The EarFun Air have a warm midrange profile with full-sounding vocals and a cozy feel.
On the other hand, male vocals and lower mids will sound relaxed but can risk to become a bit congested at times.
Higher mids share a similar non-forward style but get less affected by mid-bass bleed effects, resulting in a pleasant but not necessarily busy upper midrange response.
Moreover, these TWS model does not exhibit much or any harshness at all.
A fine EQ can squeeze out a clearer lower midrange and reduce some of it’s mid-bass bleed without ruining the rest of the mids.

H
Highs & Treble
Despite the very relaxed midrange tuning, the EarFun Air presents a much more cleaner highs and treble response.
The EarFun are able to resolve a fair amount of detail while offering a nicely balanced ratio between brightness and non-fatiguing sound.
Due to this tuning, the EarFun Air will be able to grant highs that can be listened for long time without getting annoyingly sibilant/piercing but neither being overly muddy nor dark.
In spite of this, it is fair to note that this true wireless earbuds are not 100% free of sibilance, instead it will present but it was only noticeable on sibilant-prone tracks.
Using an EQ, their highs can show a miles brighter and more detailed sound but expect stronger sibilance and piercing peaks.
7.75/10
SL
Sound Leak
The sound leaking out of these TWS is less hearable than many average headphones, this does not make them stealthily silent but will never be an issue on every normal daily situations.

Sound Isolation
The sound isolation provided by the EarFun Air is substantially stronger than many average headphones.
Users will be granted a noticeable partial isolation from the environment as soon as they wear them.

C
Comfort
We are not particularly fond on this kind of design for in-ear headphones. We usually find that the rigid and long “tail” extending down from the main earpiece, offers nothing else than a bigger-sized unit but somehow brands such as Apple with their AirPods were able to make people look after this design – and brands follow the trend.
This form factor was adopted by the EarFun Air but you will also see it on popular brand/models like the Skullcandy Indy True Wireless. Nonetheless, this long piece rarely does become an issue regarding comfort and the light weight of the EarFun add up to an overall comfortable and pleasing experience.

EQ
Response to Equalization
The response to EQ of this EarFun TWS was efficient on bass empowering and midrange reorganization with vast results but the effects over their highs and treble, also introduced some cons.
