? MPOW EG3 PRO, a gaming headphone with a very friendly price.
The MPOW EG3 PRO is a headphone designed for gamers with dedicated features such as mic on/off buttons, volume scroll wheel, 360 degree rotational mic.
In addition to this, the brand has packed some nice looking LED lighting both on the back plates of the earcups and on the tip of the mic.
Inside, each side holds a huge 50mm dynamic driver and large earmuffs – users will see an USB connector, this is only to power the lights of the headphone and will not transmit any audio nor software connection with your PC.
It is fair to highlight that the lights of the MPOW EG3 PRO have a single non-changeable color that will depend on the model bought – there are 4 models available with lights in red, white, pink or blue

Bass & Sub Bass
The MPOW EG3 PRO provides a strong impact and even a bit of rumble that can be felt around the ears – this is coming from the big drivers pumping with strong bass notes.
Users can expect a very rich and punchy midbass that will make gaming sessions even more immersive and music listening sessions fun and entertaining.
This EG3 PRO is also able to extend efficiently over sub-bass, not showing any strong rolling-off nor lack of response of deep bass notes.
Nonetheless, this headphone does not sound overly boosted nor outrageously loose, instead its bass tuning is fairly non boomy nor bouncy for a bassy headphone.

Mids & Vocals
Surprisingly, even with the Gaming tag, the MPOW EG3 PRO is able to offer a very nice midrange response.
Lower mids and male vocals present a full and warm tone without getting overshadowed by the powerful bass.
At the same time, the upper mids and female vocals can provide sufficient crispness and an alive feel, yet remaining smooth and never harsh.
For gamers, this will mean that you will benefit from the best of both worlds, a detailed but engaging sound that will not make you deaf with gunshots or popping sounds.

Highs & Treble
Highs on the MPOW EG3 PRO offer a good balance between brightness and smoothness.
Compared to audiophile headphones, this will not provide the level of micro detail nor separation but will neither sound muffled or dark as to restrict the use for gaming and for music listening.
Once again, thanks to its non-spiky tuning, this MPOW gaming headphone does not show frequent piercing peaks but it does suffer from some sibilance.

When looking exclusively at its pure passive isolation, the EG3 PRO falls quite short.
In comparison to most other gaming headphones, this MPOW will not provide too much passive isolation, yet its powerful blast of bass and output will suffice to compensate it.

Comfort
The MPOW EG3 PRO is certainly a bigger headphone but the brand did an excellent job applying a duals headband design with the padded one being “floating” on 2 wires, thus not having any hard sections where the head could become sore.
Additionally, the headphone has very large earmuffs that are both thick, wide and deep.
