Bass & Sub Bass

The 1MORE Piston Fit E1009 has punchy mid-bass and enough depth but will not provide a very deep sub-bass as to cover EDM, trance, electronic and house genres.

Very sub-bass centered tracks will feel the 1MORE Piston Fit lacking depth, while other tracks/listeners will welcome the more conservative and less invasive sub-bass.

An EQ does not provide a strong increment of neither mid-bass nor sub-bass.

Through out our extreme basshead tests, the 1MORE Piston Fit handled up to 25% of a FiiO A5 maximum power, showing an importantly punchier and deeper response but no basshead rumble nor impact – as expected.

Mids & Vocals

The 1MORE Piston Fit E1009 mids have nice warmth that does not become excessive, yet they are able to provide smooth and cozy vocals – still, medium to strong mid-bass bleed is present.

Overall, they have a good balance between crispness and non-harshness over their higher midrange.

On the other hand, lower vocals may get somewhat congested depending on the track being listened, but will never show harsh peaks.

If done carefully, a custom EQ can add much clearer lower vocals and overall more open sound – just do not overdo it or you will get some boxiness.

Highs & Treble

The 1MORE Piston Fit E1009 highs have good brightness and detail for normal listening sessions. Expect a personality that is not too forward nor too dark.

Fatiguing issues are rare with the 1MORE Piston Fit, showing peaks free of piercing highs and mild sibilance.

Overall, their upper end can be defined as smooth and pleasant – not “audiophile-grade” detailed and super bright, though.

An EQ makes their highs very noticeably brighter and more detailed while remaining free of piercing peaks.

Sound Leak

The sound leaking out is inline with most average headphones, being usable on normally noise situations or daily commuting without having to worry much but will not be the best choice for libraries.
