SOUNDPEATS Air6 HS

The SOUNDPEATS Air6 HS is the brand new model released in 2026 under the Air series, a model line that has become vastly popular and that we have reviewed entirely in the past.

The Air6 HS follows the core-nature of the older siblings with modern specs, a lightweighted spirit (4g per earpiece), a semi-in-ear/earbud styled design and fit and a very affordable price.

Among the most notable specs and features, the SOUNDPEATS Air6 HS offers touch sensitive backplate controls, large 13mm dynamic-drivers with triple-magnet structure, LDAC codec support and spatial audio.

On top of that, these SOUNDPEATS TWS earbuds are compatible with the SoundPeats mobile app so you can customize the earbuds and even access OTA firmware upgrades – a not so friendly detail, though, the app forces users to register and create and account in order to pair the earbuds to the app.

Inline with the tendency of most TWS earbud headphones, the SoundPeats Air6 HS does not include any additional freebies besides a short USB-C cable.

Bass & Sub Bass

Bass with the SOUNDPEATS Air6 HS was very punchy, adding a layer of fun to any listening session and never lacking mid-bass for all types of genres – quite impressive for this style of headphone.

The lower-end of the bass frequencies were able to be covered by the sub-bass extension of the Air6 HS with decent depth for a semi-in-ear earbud.

Mids & Vocals

The midrange sound full but not congested thanks to a lower midrange and male vocals that feel present and full-bodied, yet are not drowned by mid-bass bleed.

The upper mids and female vocals are nicely balanced to avoid falling into a harshness mess or shouty vocals while keeping a clear and enjoyable tuning.

To be honest, earbud-styled headphones did never sound this good 5-years ago.

Highs & Treble

Highs on the SOUNDPEATS Air6 HS have a very similar personality with their midrange; sounding balanced and pleasant.

At the same time, highs avoid dark and muddy issues but is not over-tuned as to become a fatiguing mess.

In fact, the Air6 HS are quite remarkable at not showing any piercing spikes and fairly tolerant sibilance.

Sound Leak

In spite of having a semi-open design for their earbud form factor, these TWS showed a sound leakage within what is expected from an average in-ear and over-ear headphone.

Sound Isolation

As with sound leakage, sound isolation are not the groundbreaking characteristics of earbud-styled earphones; and as the Air6 HS falls in this category, do expect just a slight partial isolation of the surrounding noises but nothing similar to top-class ANC headphones.

Do notice that these are not Active Noise Cancelling earbuds, unlike other older models from the brand.

Comfort

SoundPeats has a large catalog of earbuds and many years developing them, throughout the years they have perfectioned the fit and comfort of their earbud-styled TWS and the Air6 HS inherits this.

The SoundPeats Air6 HS with rounded shells and curved edges slide into the ears without being overly invasive as an in-ear but neither loose as most other earbuds on the market that fall out on a simple head turn.
