🎧 We are reviewing the Yinyoo ASH, a fresh release from the brand with dual drivers.
The Yinyoo ASH features an hybrid driver configuration with 1 balanced armature driver and 1 dynamic driver per side.
The earpieces are made of 3D printed resin, resulting in smooth shapes and light weighted build. The design shows a semi translucent build that allows the inner components to be seen and a patterned back plate with a sort of a marble look.
The whole unit follows a logical color pattern design with an all-black housings, cable, eartips and details (besides the textured back)
The cable might look like a single, textured cable but instead it is a combination of 4-strands very tightly braided. The cable connection is bi-pin with straight end connectors but that are shorter than the straight connectors seen on many earphones with similar bi-pin design – like the:
Each connector has a colored dot to ease the recognition of the side – left is indicated with a blue dot and right with a red dot- the 3.5mm plug is L-shaped.

The Yinyoo ASH unboxing results in the detachable cable and 6 pair of eartips of which 3 are black-colored and 3 are red/black colored.
The Yinyoo ASH bass showed a very punchy and deep response that will cover most bassy music genres without issues.
People looking for energetic and powerful bass might like these. Users looking for a clean and controlled bass response should look elsewhere.
Through out our extreme basshead tests, the Yinyoo ASH took up to 37.5% of the max power coming from a FiiO A5 amp.
The results were an insane addition of both depth and punch, reaching, even mild basshead rumble and impact but not enough as to compete with massive basshead earphones as the Pioneer SE-CX8, Pioneer SE-CX9 or even the Sony MDR-EX650.

The Yinyoo ASH have very warm overall mids with laid back male vocals and lower mids congestion.
Despite this, there is not a tremendously huge amount of mid-bass bleed.
Higher mids are not harsh, while their mid-upper midrange shows a noticeable recessed tendency.
A complete retuning of the ASH can be obtained with advanced EQ techniques aiming to boost the mid and mid-up recession, the resulting effect will be an absolute makeover of their mids and a monumental improvement over it’s midrange.
The Yinyoo ASH highs resolve some detail and sit between a contrasting personality of busy, darkish sound but with a slight edge of brightness.
Fatiguing peaks are present, both sibilant and piercing peaks will show up, yet the upper end, on their treble range is rolled-off.
Exactly as with their mids, their highs can be totally retuned with an advanced custom EQ and the Yinyoo ASH will show their true potential.
The sound leaking out of this earphone is noticeably lower than on most normal earphones, allowing high volume listening sessions without fearing of disturbing nearby people.

The Yinyoo ASH offer flush fit, curved edges and a form factor that seems nearly a custom in-ear monitor.
Moreover, the fit is extremely secure thanks to the protruding “wing” – similar shape has been seen on other affordable, universal in-ear monitors such as:

An advanced EQ can be applied to re-tune, even up and “repair” the flaws of the Yinyoo ASH. The results will be a groundbreaking improvement, far from subtle.
