The Xiaomi Redmi AirDots have 1 physical button on each earpiece, these buttons allow you to:
Left and Right Button:
- A 4 second press and hold (while on): Power Off
- A 3 second press and hold (while on): Force pairing mode
- A single press: Play, Pause music or Answer calls
- Turned ON and while in standby with no music or call: 1 second press and hold activates Siri or voice commands.
LED Status Light: The Xiaomi Redmi AirDots TWSEJ04LS have a led on the earpieces to inform the status of the device.
Charging: The Xiaomi Redmi AirDots can be charged on-the-go with it’s (included) battery pack. Moreover, the same pack can be used as the charging connection for the earpieces while wired.
The battery of the case can be charged independently or at the same time with the earpieces placed inside. The pack/case has a micro USB connector on the bottom rear section to connect it to USB power supplies.
The earpieces offer 4 hours of battery runtime while the combined battery life with the on-the-go charges of the pack/case can provide 12 hours of music listening.

Before getting into the results of the Xiaomi Redmi AirDots soundtests, it is fundamental to highlight that this true wireless headphones presented 2 very opposing sound personalities according to fit and placement.
Deepest Fit
The Xiaomi Redmi AirDots TWSEJ04LS has a very energetic bass profile. Mid-bass can provide as much punch as needed on any bass-intense track while sub-bass will get as deep as any genre might require. The Xiaomi Redmi AirDots are very fun and bassy sounding TWS that are still able to provide space for mids, vocals and highs.
Applying an EQ, their bass can can get crazy deep and much punchier.

Loose Fit
If you do not push the earpieces as deep as possible their bass will not sound as powerful as described above, instead it will sound more balanced but less bass-intense/deep.

Mids & Vocals
Deepest Fit
The midrange of the Xiaomi Redmi AirDots sound very warm, yet vocals do not sound distant.
Male and female vocals are alive and energetic despite the mid-bass bleed on the lower midrange.
An EQ can clean up some of the lower congestion, but the easiest path is to simply pull them out a bit and their mids will instantly refine.

With this fit, their midrange still conserves their warmth and very full-bodied sound with alive male vocals and a cozy feel onto them.
Higher mids are crisp and very clear with some risks of becoming harshy at times, though we do not find them to be particularly harsh.
Despite the warm profile their vocals do not sound drowned nor laid back

Highs & Treble
Deepest Fit
With this fit, the Xiaomi Redmi AirDots TWSEJ04LS highs have a layer of congestion and a bassy overruling sound will be felt
On the other hand, the overall result in bass, mids and highs with this fit result in very energetic and pumping listening sessions that can be a good match for people enjoying this.

Loose Fit
By setting it’s fit a bit less tight, their highs will become bright and sufficiently detailed for a TWS – this are not dark sounding TWS but neither are overly bright.
Most listeners will find their highs and treble to be very competent in comparison to many other TWS models on the market. Nonetheless, the Xiaomi Redmi AirDots are not a fatiguing nor excessively sharp sounding TWS, showing mild sibilance and no intense piercing peaks.
Applying an EQ can reveal a much more detailed and bright sound with an apparent more open sound sensation.
