Despite having the same housings of KZ flagship models and the same level of build, the GK G5 is part of the entry level, super affordable series from the brand.
The housings are mainly made of resin with metal back plates and bi-pin detachable cables.
Inside, each earpiece holds a single dynamic driver with a diameter of 10mm and a PET diaphragm, rated to cover a range from 20 to 40kHz

Bass & Sub Bass
Right out of the box, the GK G5 exhibits mid-bass that does not suffer from an excess of mid-bass bleed but lacks punch and fun.
In addition to this, sub-bass has an outrageous rolled-off response with nearly-zero coverage of these ranges and an empty fulfillment of notes falling in the sub-bass region.

Mids & Vocals
The GK G5 presents a strange midrange sound that, despite not showing an excess of mid-bass bleed, gets busy and very congested.
Lower mids lack detail and any sort of presence while male vocals have a strongly muddy effect.
On the other hand, higher mids and female vocals exhibit a lower effect of these flaws, yet are far from offering a well-tuned and balanced sound and show the same kind of congested and nearly boxed sound.

Highs & Treble
Highs on the GK G5 are still affected by the messy and busy feel of their midrange.
Being so, the G5 presents a dark highs profile that lack detail and is unable to offer any kind of separation and soundstage.
On top of that, this earphone is, still, able to introduce frequent and intense sibilant and piercing highs.

The GK G5. inherits the same housings as the KZ VX10 PRO, CCA CA24 and KZ ZAS.
Being so, the G5 also inherits the same outstanding level of fit and comfort seeing in those models – yet, also the same larger and more protruding size.
