SoundPEATS Air4 PRO, the brand new TWS from the Pro series.

If you have looked at SoundPeats catalog you might be confused when seeing that this Air4 Pro has an in-ear design while the Air4 has an earbud design; in fact, the Air4 Pro is not directly related with the Air4, it actually belongs to the Air Pro series, being the direct successor of the SoundPeats Air3 Pro.

Some of the main features that make this a PRO series are the inclusion of auto-play/pause sensors that will automatically reproduce and pause the music listening when putting on/removing the earpieces from your ears, also this TWS is equipped with Active Noise Cancelling and the possibility to access deeper customizations and EQ through the mobile app.

Bass & Sub Bass

Without any doubts the SoundPeats Air4 Pro are able to bring to any track plenty mid-bass and punch as to add a fun and exciting layer of seasoning.

While extending deep over sub-bass, the Air4 Pro show a very capable performance that can retrieve and reproduce all notes without any empty sub-bass sounds.

Despite the rich and strong bass response, neither mid-bass nor sub-bass are overly boosted as to lose their control and overstep the rest of the sound.

Mids & Vocals

Mids offered by the SoundPeats Air4 Pro have a warm and well-rounded sound.

Male vocals will sound full with no congestion issues nor becoming laid back at any time.

Moreover, both deep vocals and lower mids are able to show a solid presence without being perceived as shy nor distant – even on bass-heavy tracks.

The upper mids and female vocals show a slightly forwardy tuning that can risk to become a bit too hot for sensitive listeners, yet this also gives them the advantage of providing crispier and more alive vocals.

If you are not an overly-sensitive user, we consider the higher midrange of the Air4 Pro to be better defined than many other TWS in this price-range.

Highs & Treble

Probably the highs and treble of the SoundPeats Air4 Pro might not resolve the amount of micro-detail of an analytical audiophile headphone but the overall tuning of their highs shows a respectably balanced and even distribution.

As a matter of fact, this TWS can offer a bright and open sound (for a budget TWS) without getting outrageously fatiguing.

On top of that, despite the brightish profile, peaks on their highs can be rated as tolerably piercing and soft-sibilant (sibilance is frequently present but with a gentler intensity than other sibilant-prone earphones)

Sound Isolation

For deep-pitched and constant noises, the ANC of the Air4 Pro was exceptionally efficient but higher pitched noises were less efficiently cancelled; noises of fans and similar were nearly totally cancelled as if the fan was not turned on.

The Passthrough-mode of the SoundPeats Air4 Pro was remarkably good, with a clear perception of the environment without sounding weird, nor introducing any disturbing interference.

Comfort

Similar to previous versions of the Air Pro and also to many in-ears from SoundPeats, the rounded earpieces with no sharp edges and the use of angled nozzles are able to provide a comfortable and pain-free experience for hours.

Moreover, the touch sensitive controls and the responsive auto-play/pause sensors add a further layer of comfort and ease of use.
