? KBEAR ST1, a small and cheap-priced earphone.
The KBEAR ST1 is a single dynamic driver earphone with an in-ear design, featuring an 8.7mm DD with polymer PET diaphragm.
The housings have a metal alloy construction, yet an extremely light weight while the fixed rubberized cable maintains the same metal build through out the inline remote/mic, cable bifurcation section and stereo plug.
It is fair to note that the inline mic comes with the, very handy, 3-button design that includes independent volume+ and volume- buttons.
KBEAR did a smart move by adding a color-coded ring on each earpiece, that allows users to identify the corresponding left and right earpiece with no effort (blue= left, right=red)

Bass & Sub Bass
Without doubt, the KBEAR KS1 is a bassy earphone, any listener will notice right away an intense punchiness and deep response.
Both mid-bass and sub-bass are strong and fun right out of the box without the need of any EQ but is worth considering that this earphone sits in a category that can be defined as “overly boosted” instead of “intense”.
This means that that the KS1 will provide punch and depth without any doubts but will present strong bounciness, a boomy sound and a very loose profile.
Users should be aware that this is a bass-centered (to be more accurate, probably bass-only) earphone that might adapt to some bass-addicts but will not provide a versatile sound signature.

Mids & Vocals
The KBEAR ST1 has an intensely warm midrange that can offer an intimate feel to their sound but that can, also, become too congested.
A clear mid-bass bleed can be felt, overstepping and combating with their lower mids and male vocals; this can make their lower-pitched vocals to sound distant and recessed.
Upper mids and female vocals start to free up (mildly) from the ruling bass bleed, offering a bit better performing range but that will still sound busy.
On the other hand, people concerned with harshness can rest assured that this model presents little to no harshness at all.
Similar to the KS1, the KBEAR ST1 exhibits a very strong warmth that can take ownership of the general sound signature.
The starting point of the mids SQ makes a tough playing ground for any EQ, showing slight but no drastic improvement.

Highs & Treble
Unfortunately, the overall muddy and boomy sound of the KS1 extends to their highs and treble as well.
The KS1 shows a dark and busy sound that is, still, able to squeeze a marginal amount of detail.
Overall, the KS1 is tough model to recommend to most listeners regardless of their sound signature preference.

Sound Isolation
This KBEAR earphones offer a very efficient sound isolation with a strongly noticeable reduction of the environment’s awareness, even while no music is playing.
This model can easily reach absolute isolation by listening to music at a moderate volume setting.
