BGVP DMG
| 4x Balanced Armature | 2x Graphene+Titanium Dynamic Drivers | 3x Sound Filters | Neodymium Magnet | 4-way crossover |
? BGVP DMG, an hexa-driver (6 drivers) earphone with premium specs but friendly price.
The BGVP DMG features an hybrid driver configuration that includes quad balanced armature drivers + double dynamic drivers.
The 4 balanced armature drivers of the BGVP DMG are: 2x 31736 (balanced armature tuned for high and treble frequencies) and 2x 10006 (tuned for medium-high frequencies). The coaxial double dynamic driver inside the housings have graphene+titanium diaphragms and extremely strong N52 neodymium magnets.
To make the most out of such a complex and highly-spec’ed drivers configuration, BGVP packed a 4-way electronic crossover inside the BGVP DMG – helping to provide a clean and efficient frequency separation.
As if this was not enough, the brand includes 3 nozzle sound filters which are supposed to provide an emphasized lower frequency (gold filter), high frequency (silver filter), balanced tuning (black, red or blue; depending on the color of the housings)
The BGVP DMG are part of the insanely spec’ed and affordable IEM models that have lately become available on the Asian market like the:
- TONEKING T88K (See Price) – octa driver
- LZ A6 – hexa driver
- PMV Crescent – octa driver
- CTZ 12BA – dodeca driver
- TENHZ T5 – penta driver
- Magaosi K6 – hexa driver
- BGVP DM6 – penta driver
The housings of the BGVP DMG are very rugged with an aluminum alloy, unibody build and detachable MMCX cables – you will not get any flimsy plastics nor fragile details.
The MMCX cable included with the BGVP DMG is a mixed 5N copper + silver plated one with gold-plated connectors and a rubberized finish that is pleasant to the touch, does not have much microphonics and that correctly straightens up, even after prolonged time being kept tangled.
The BGVP DMG is sold with or without an inline mic/remote – the price will be marginally lower for the BGVP DMG mic-less version – the cable with the microphone is dark colored while the mic-less cable is silver colored.
The BGVP DMG is compatible with Android and Apple devices.
You can buy the BGVP DMG in 3 colors:
Because of the similar name, many users might think that the BGVP DMG vs BGVP DM6 are the same earphone but this is not the case as they are absolutely different models. The BGVP DMG vs BGVP DM6 drivers configuration is different, with the DMG having 6 drivers while the DM6 has 5 drivers.

Moreover, the BGVP DMG vs BGVP DM6 drivers, also differ, by the type of combination that they have; the BGVP DMG is an hybrid earphone while the DM6 is an all-balanced armature model.

10/10
IMPORTANT NOTE: The BGVP DMG presented two absolute opposite sound signatures according to the eartip used and, consequent, seal.
The BGVP DMG was tested with:
- Smallest Eartips / loose-roomy fit
- Standard Eartips / tighter fit-seal
- Balance Sound Filter
- HF Sound Filter
- LF Sound Filter
B
Bass & Sub Bass
Smallest Eartips / loose-roomy fit – Balance Sound Filter
The BGVP DMG bass is controlled and balanced with a tuning tending to a slightly conservative yet full-bodied response.
Mid-bass is nicely punchy but not invasive and sub-bass is able to reach sufficient depth to cover most genres. Do not expect a bassy sound out of them nor an earphone that will drown their sound signature with overly boosted bass (with this fit/seal)
This bass personality will only be available if and only if the BGVP DMG is used with the smallest eartips and when a loose/roomy fit is achieved – keep on reading the review to find out what happens if you use the BGVP DMG right out of the box.
Applying an EQ, a bit of additional punch and depth can be squeezed out but it is much easier to achieve an insanely deep and punchy bass by simply placing bigger eartips that provide a tighter seal (keep on reading)
The score below was awarded for it’s balanced and controlled bass – in this mode/fit.
8.75/10

Smallest Eartips / loose-roomy fit – HF Sound Filter
According to the brand, the HF filter (gold color) should “enhance” higher frequencies.
Using the BGVP DMG with the HF sound filter and with the “smallest eartips / loose-roomy fit” there is a marginal modification of their bass personality.
The reduction of mid-bass and sub-bass is so subtle that most listeners will not notice it.
8.75/10
Smallest Eartips / loose-roomy fit – LF Sound Filter
The LF filter (silver color) should “enhance” lower frequencies.
Using the BGVP DMG with the LF sound filter and with the “smallest eartips / loose-roomy fit” there is a slightly fuller sound but that might go under the radar of most normal listeners.
8.75/10
Standard Eartips / tighter fit-seal – Balance Sound Filter
Differently to the filters on their own, using the BGVP DMG with the standard eartips (out of the box eartips) and if a tight fit-seal is reached, a revolutionary bass modification will happen.
Used like this, the BGVP DMG becomes an insanely bass-intense earphone with massive punch and super deep sub-bass that can, even, fulfill basshead’s needs.
People enjoying bassy sound and extra-energetic sessions will be happy with the BGVP DMG on this “mode/fit”.
The score below was awarded for it’s insanely powerful bass on this mode/fit.
8.75/10
Standard Eartips / tighter fit-seal – HF Sound Filter
Due to the extremely powerful bass unleashed with this fit, it is impossible to perceive any bass response modification by the HF sound filter.
8.75/10
Standard Eartips / tighter fit-seal – LF Sound Filter
Exactly as with the HF sound filter; with the LF filter + “standard eartips / tighter fit-seal” it is highly improbable that anybody will notice any additional boosting by the nozzle/filter.
8.75/10

M
Mids & Vocals
Smallest Eartips / loose-roomy fit – Balance Sound Filter
The BGVP DMG, with the “smallest eartips / loose-roomy fit” and the balance sound filter, show a clean and refined but warm and cozy midrange.

At the same time, there is no lower mids congestion, higher mids sound crisp and clear but with no overdone nor forward sound and a gentle and laid back male vocals style.
No harshness no disturbing peaks arise on the higher midrange of the BGVP DMG.
Overall, their mids are clean, gentle and pleasant.
An EQ can add an extra layer of crispness to their higher mids and boost their male vocals for a more present sound with no harsh side-effects.
8.75/10
Smallest Eartips / loose-roomy fit – HF Sound Filter
With the “smallest eartips / loose-roomy fit” and the HF sound filter, their midrange can be perceived as slightly cleaner by advanced listeners.
For most normal listeners the difference will not be too noticeable.
8.75/10
Smallest Eartips / loose-roomy fit – LF Sound Filter
The LF filter + the “smallest eartips / loose-roomy fit” give their mids a less pronounced higher mids sound that can translate into some loss of crispness or a more relaxed personality.
Most of our editors agreed that the balance filter provided a better midrange experience.
8.5/10

Standard Eartips / tighter fit-seal – Balance Sound Filter
Once the standard eartips and a tighter fit-seal is reached (out of the box fit), their midrange will show a night and day transformation from the “loose-roomy fit”, now showing extremely warm mids with strong mid-bass bleed and congestion on lower mids.
Still, male vocals can remain fairly present and not excessively distant but expect noticeable congestion.
Higher mids are not as congested, offering a sufficiently crisp and clear sound.
In any mode/fit and with any filter, the BGVP DMG never became a harsh sounding earphone, at all.
7.5/10
Standard Eartips / tighter fit-seal – HF Sound Filter
With the HF filter and the “standard eartips and a tighter fit-seal”, the BGVP DMG show a hint of less-invasive mid-bass bleed and a pinch of boosting over the highest end of the midrange.
Still we do not weight it as important as to modify their score.
7.5/10
Standard Eartips / tighter fit-seal – LF Sound Filter
The LF filter and the “standard eartips and a tighter fit-seal” can give the perception of a bit darker midrange, mostly affected on their female vocals and upper mids sound.
7.5/10

H
Highs & Treble
Smallest Eartips / loose-roomy fit – Balance Sound Filter
The BGVP DMG highs are very detailed and present a bright sound response.
Their highs offer a pleasant balance between brightness and no excess of recession that can provide a wonderful highs response for demanding listeners without getting fatiguing, piercing nor sibilant.
To achieve this, be extremely sure that you are using the smallest eartips and that your ears are not tightly sealed by the eartip/shell.
With an EQ an insane amount of detail can be revealed with a remarkably open and bright personality without showing disturbingly strong fatiguing peaks.
8.75/10
Smallest Eartips / loose-roomy fit – HF Sound Filter
The HF filter + the “smallest eartips / loose-roomy fit” make the highs of the BGVP DMG lightly more open and brighter but, honestly, a highly trained ear or sound analysis might be needed to clearly notice the difference.
8.75/10
Smallest Eartips / loose-roomy fit – LF Sound Filter
Using the LF filter and the “smallest eartips / loose-roomy fit” result in a bit darker highs personality (not a drastic change)
8.5/10

Standard Eartips / tighter fit-seal – Balance Sound Filter
Exactly as with their midrange and bass, swapping eartips and adjusting the fit/seal shows massive sound differences.
With the balance filter and the “standard eartips and a tighter fit-seal”, the highs of the BGVP DMG become dark but are still able to resolve a nice amount of detail.
Piercing and sibilant peaks are, absolutely, absent with any fatiguing pikes at any given moment.
7.25/10
Standard Eartips / tighter fit-seal – HF Sound Filter
Swapping the balance filter with the HF filter while using the BGVP DMG with a tighter fit/seal can show some marginal improvement over their highs but the DMG will show an incomparably stronger makeover by adjusting their fit/seal than swapping to the HF filter in this “mode/fit/seal”.
7.25/10
Standard Eartips / tighter fit-seal – LF Sound Filter
The LF filter combined with the standard eartips might not be the wisest choice for the highs of the BGVP DMG if you are listener looking for cleaner highs and treble.
As you can see from our BGVP DMG soundtests and the results, the sound filters provide an, overall, subtle modification of their sound signature.
7.25/10

SL
Sound Leak
The sound leaking out is fairly under control as long as volume output is not cranked up all the way.
On normal everyday situations, their sound leakage will blend in without disturbing nearby people.

Sound Isolation
The sound isolation provided by the BGVP DMG is stronger than many average earphones.
Nonetheless, do not expect the most intense isolation that your money can buy (unless you dial up the volume)

C
Comfort
The earpieces of the BGVP DMG are curvy and have a custom-like shell design that comfortably adapts to the ears and provide a very secure and stable fit.
The durable construction adds up to their agreeable feel and the soft and gentle cable sits above and around the ears without putting pressure nor generating fatigue.

EQ
Response to Equalization
The response to EQ of the BGVP DMG was efficient and able to fine tune their mids, vocals and upper midrange with a spicier and clearer sound.
Highs also responded very well with a much brighter and detailed sound – both of the aforementioned refer to the BGVP DMG with the smallest tips and loose-roomy fit.
When used with the tigher fit/seal, the BGVP DMG could be pushed into insane bassy territory with even basshead rumble and impact (only when pushed to it’s limit through our basshead tests with a FiiO E12 / FiiO A5 amplifier
, custom basshead EQ, etc.)

✅ Replaceable sound tuning nozzles/filters

✅ All metal build
✅ Replaceable cables with MMCX connectors
✅ Great bang for buck
❌Most listeners might not get the true refined sound out of the DMG by using normally sized eartips (smallest eartips are needed)
❌Depending on the fit+eartip combination they can give a wrong impression of their true sound
The BGVP DMG is a phenomenal earphone with premium specs and insanely affordable price but with a fit design flaw that can make many owners miss the outstanding sound quality that they can truly provide.
With the BGVP DMG you can get a bass monster (with a tighter eartip/standard fit) able to delight bass-hungry listeners and buyers in search of a bassy earphone. Or can provide a refined, clean and detailed sound (with the smallest eartips and a less sealed fit)
If you want to get the true sound potential out of the BGVP DMG, do yourself a favor and use the smallest eartips and ensure that you are not getting a tight and strong seal.
