Users will get a punchy mid-bass with a fun and fulfilling coverage for any genre but should not expect a basshead nor bass-only sound signature.

The SONY WF-C500 offers a warm and cozy midrange that does not fall into a congested mess like many other warm sounding TWS on the market.
Despite the warm profile, the male and deep pitched vocals do not become overshadowed by any bleeding midbass.
At the same time, the rest of the lower midrange can provide a full and agreeable sound, yet being fairly free of issues such as a laid back, muffled or distant sound.
On the other hand, the higher mid-range is a bit boosted, which can make female vocals crisp and alive but can also introduce some harshness and shouty vocals..
Highs on the SONY WF-C500 have a decent balance of brightness and detail without sounding neither too dark nor too sparkly.
Despite this, the WF-C500 can show piercing peaks from time to time (depending on the track) and a subjectively acceptable level of sibilance.
The leakage of this SONY model is much less hearable than normal headphones.
Users can rest assured that they will not disturb any nearby person while commuting.

Differently to other TWS with physical buttons, the one on the WF-C500 has a perfect actuation force balance as to get pressed without having to smash the button but neither being excessively light as to registering accidental presses.
