Design

The Yinyoo 16-core Silver Plated Balanced Cable comes in single color option, copper.

The copper coloration seen on the cable is not because of a transparent insulation but because of a design finish.

The copper color tends to a more real pure copper gamut than a goldish-copper one; which nearly every one of our editors found much better looking and aesthetically more premium than a goldish tint.

The details through out the cable, such as connector plug section, cable bifurcation and cable strainer, have all a silver finish with a mirror-shiny finish. If the qdc model is chosen, the connectors will be transparent (as usually seen on most qdc connectors)

The model that we own and is being reviewed is the qdc version with a 4.4mm balanced plug.

If you are unsure of which model you should get, here you have a brief table with the correct cable model needed according to the earphone that you own, but consider that some brands have different earphone models with different connectors – for example: the KZ ZSX, KZ ZS10 PRO, KZ ZSN PRO, KZ AS16 have qdc connectors but the KZ ZS7, KZ ED16, KZ AS10, KZ ZS10 have 2-pin connectors; the CCA A10 and CCA CA4 have qdc connectors but the CCA C16 and CCA C10 have 2-pin connectors.

As a general rule, if the connectors on your earphone are bi-pin, protrude out of the shell with a male design, then it is qdc. If the connectors are bi-pin, recessed inside the shell with a female design, then it might be compatible with the 2-pin cable version or TFZ 0.78mm bi-pin – Important: if you are not 100% sure of the right connector that you need, ask the seller before buying.

The cable is soft and malleable which makes it comfortable when in contact with the skin. Moreover, the build materials make it very good against tangling issues – the difference with tangling problems between bundled cables versus the Yinyoo 16-core Silver Plated Balanced Cable is night and day and a worry-free experience.

The plugs, cable bifurcation and strainer are all made of metal with a solid construction and a weighty feel that inspires confidence.

All connections through out the cable are reinforced with rubberized, transparent sections to reduce the risks of breaking the cable.

The qdc version has resin connectors while the MMCX and 2-pin versions comes with metal connectors.
