ACCESSORIES & PACKAGING
gramophone-256604.25/5

The MechLands Vibe75 comes in a fairly simple cardboard packaging with some internal padding – as a point of comparison, the packaging is inline with most Ajazz, Epomaker, Skyloong and Keydous keyboards but it is not a good as on CIDOO, KiiBOOM, LOFREE, LEOBOG, NocFree keyboards.

• Keycap/switch puller
• Display module
• Knob module
• USB-C cable

D

DESIGN

gramophone-256604.5/5

The MechLands Vibe75 is a mechanical keyboard with a 75% layout that include 80 keys and a knob/display.

In the past, we have reviewed other keyboards with removable, hot-swappable knobs or screens but this would be the first time that we see a keyboard that has incorporated both of them in a single keyboard.

This means, that the MechLands Vibe75 allows users to remove the display screen and hot-swap it with the knob module and this can be re done and switched back and forth as many times as you want in a hot-swappable manner without any fancy tools, disassembly nor soldering involved.

Aesthetically, the black version of the MechLands Vibe75 comes with a black shell with Bordeaux metal accents across the body and a dark theme for the keycaps set.

The color design of the MechLands Vibe75 reminded us to other keyboards such as the Ajazz AK820 MAX HEAjazz AK820 Pro, FANTECH MAXFIT81 Vibe Edition but with a vastly better looking final result and using Bordeaux accents instead of yellow ones.

The MechLands Vibe75 is available in 2 different colors:

• MechLands Vibe75 black
• MechLands Vibe75 blue

DISPLAY SCREEN
gramophone-256604.25/5

As you can see from the photos, the MechLands Vibe75 includes a rectangular display screen on the upper right corner.

This screen has a color panel with good resolution to present sharpness and definition to all icons and info being displayed.

The main info panel will show:

• Clock
• Date
• Battery status
• Connection mode
• Win lock
• CAPS Lock
• Screen lock

All 3 “locks” also have a dedicated LED status indicator on the left upper corner between the ESC and F1 key.

The fonts and icons used in the display are smaller than average due to the fairly tight space of the diagonal size but the optimal sharpness and resolution makes them readable without straining the sight.

In addition to the info display, the screen also accepts animated GIF or static designs that can be uploaded and/or edited through the bundled software.

CONSTRUCTION & BUILD
gramophone-256604.5/5

The MechLands Vibe75 has a case made of ABS plastic but with rear and lateral over-framing made of metal and, also, a bottom plate of the same metal material. These combinations add up to a better quality feel and more confident weight to the unit that all-plastic keyboards.

On top of that, the board of the Vibe75 is hot-swappable with compatible mechanical switches, allowing users to change the switches of the keyboard at any given moment without the need of any soldering.

Internally, this MechLands keyboard has a gasket-mounted design and special components like a flex-cut polycarbonate plate, pre-lubed stabilizers and five layers of sound dampening that include PORON Sandwich foam, IXPE switch pad, PET layer, Poron PCB foam, and a silicone pad.

You can immediately feel that the MechLands Vibe75 has been put together with great care and meticulously to grant a well-performing and assembled keyboard out of the box.

In fact, nothing rattles nor wobbles in this keyboard despite the super affordable price; if you come from mainstream keyboards like Razer or Logitech you will be surprised to find that this MechLands keyboard shows no key nor switches wobble at all.

KEYCAPS
gramophone-256604.5/5

MechLands has made a smart move by offering the MechLands Vibe75 with high-quality PBT keycaps and a textured finish.

To be more precise, these are double-shot PBT keycaps with a thick body which ensure solid build, durable non-fading fonts and resistance to wear and oily fingers.

The keycap set has cherry profile and a color theme using dark-colored caps including black, Bordeaux and dark-grey. All the keycaps have white fonts, making them very easy to read and find in even darker rooms.

As we mentioned several times in the sections above, the display module can be hot swapped with a knob module; we tested to swap them with the keyboard turned on and both were recognized immediately and started operating without any issues.

The knob has a light rotational resistance but not overly loose as to register undesired inputs; each rotational step has a notch with tactile but silent feedback – the knob has also a press function that can be reprogrammed.

SWITCHES
gramophone-25660
4/5

The MechLands Vibe75 comes preassembled with custom switches from their own brand, which are called MechLands Cream Mint Switch.

These switches are mechanical, linear with a 5-pin design and an excellent balance of force and travel that makes it highly competent to cover any kind of uses ranging from daily typing up to gaming.

Another remarkable quality of these switches is the total absence of scratchiness, giving almost a scratch-free experience like magnetic, hall-effect switches.

MechLands Cream Mint Switch Specifications

CON

CONNECTIVITY
gramophone-256604.75/5

The Vibe75 is a tri-mode keyboard which accepts Bluetooth, USB-C wired and wireless 2.4G connectivity.

To use the 2.4G wireless mode you need to plug the bundled dongle that is hidden in a compartment under of the adjustable feet of the keyboard.

On the rear edge of the case, the keyboard has 2 switches, one is to set the keeb in Mac or Windows mode while the other ones has 3 positions: USB, BT and 2.4G.

TABLET/MOBILE
4.5/5

With Bluetooth connectivity and features like programmability, knob or display, light but rugged build; this MechLands keyboards can be a perfect match for users with mobile setups.

L

LIGHTING
gramophone-256604.25/5

The keyboard has a board with south-facing RGB LED with plenty of light effects, presets, dynamic music lighting and endless color combinations.

Being a dark-colored case and keycaps we feared that the RGB LED would not be too visible; instead, the MechLands Vibe75 surprised the team with noticeably brighter LED than most competitors, resulting in popping RGB effects and strong light output.

S

SOUND
gramophone-256605/5

Despite the super affordable price, the MechLands Vibe75 offers a remarkable thocky sound right out of the box without the need of any switches, stabs replacement nor any additional lubrification.

As a matter of fact, the MechLands Vibre75 presents a more refined and miles better sound profile than full metal keyboards like the Epomaker Tide75 and comes with stabs in better pre-lube condition than premium keyboards like the AKKO MUO1 Mountain Seclusion or Akko MOD007 series.

This means that none of the plate-mounted stabilizers show rattling nor mushy traces, while the overall keeb exhibits pristine, deep sounding thock without echo or resonance issues.

SW

SOFTWARE
gramophone-256604.5/5

The Mechlands Vibe75 can be configured and programmed through a dedicated software from the brand. To date, the software is on V1.0 beta version but comes with all the bells and whistles of any other small and big competitor and even with added features such as help/info bubbles, key response/delay time adjustment, all-key reprogramming, macros, layers, etc. – also full per-key lighting designs can be programmed.

A major advantage despite being Beta version is that the software of the MechLands Vibe75 comes with a dedicated built-in tab for the complete editing, configuration and preview of the display screen – many competitors need a 2nd external software to config the display screen.

B

BATTERY
gramophone-256604/5

With an internal battery of 4000mAh, this MechLands keyboards has a slightly bigger than average capacity which should translate in longer hours of use before needing to be recharged.
