EPOMAKER Tide75, one of the newest mechanical keyboards from Epomaker that introduces a new lineup to their catalog.
The EPOMAKER Tide75 was launched as a brand new family of mechanical keyboards from the brand, the “Tide” series; along with the EPOMAKER Tide65.
It is nice seeing that the brand does not slow down in the release of new and creative keyboards like the recently reviewed Epomaker EK98, EPOMAKER DynaTab 75X, EPOMAKER TH80 PRO V2, EPOMAKER Shadow-S.

D
DESIGN
5/5
The EPOMKAER Tide75, as the name suggests, is a mechanical keyboard with a 75% layout, including a knob. The 75% + knob form factor is a highly popular one that can be found on the most sold 75% keyboards from the brand and competitors (like Epomaker x Aula F75, Ajazz Ak820 Pro, Epomaker TH80 Pro, Leobog Hi75)
The black model of the Tide75, presents a unique look to it with an, actually, all-black aesthetic due to the black case combined with special black keycaps that do not have top printed, visible fonts – as a nice embellishing element, the case has a golden strip detail all around the edge of the upper shell section.
If you turn around the keyboard, you will find out that the bottom case carries a PVD mirror with the Epomaker brand name.
A detail that we could highlight is that the black metal finish of the case tends to become a fingerprint magnet.
This is not a particular “issue” on the Epomaker Tide75, instead is a common characteristic of these type of finish and materials; as seen on other keyboards with similar shell and finish like the AKKO SPR75, MONSGEEK M6, EPOMAKER x Feker Galaxy 80, LoFree FLOW – also on other type of products that we have reviewed with metal build such as the Creality K1C, Creality Ender-3 V3, Elegoo Neptune 4 PRO, 4 Max & 4 Plus, LaserPecker LP4, LaserPecker LX1 Max, Atomstack A40.
If all-black is not your thing, the EPOMAKER Tide75 is available in 4 different colors:
• EPOMAKER Tide75 black
• EPOMAKER Tide75 blue
• EPOMAKER Tide75 pink
• EPOMAKER Tide75 purple

CONSTRUCTION & BUILD
5/5
As soon as you unbox the Epomaker Tide75, you will feel that this keyboard is built like a tank. In fact, the case is made of quality 6063 aluminum with anodized finish and weights nearly 2kg.
Internally, the EPOMAKER Tide75 carries a hot-swappable board, allowing users to replace the switches without any soldering involved – compatible with 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches.
Furthermore, the Tide75 comes preassembled with premium components like a FR4 plate, Poron PCB foam, IXPE switch foam, PET pad, Poron case foam, PET insulation pads.
This board is QMK compatible, therefore it can be programmed through VIA, allowing the versatility and power of VIA to reprogram, customize, set macros, etc.
As it makes use of VIA, the keyboard does not need any software running as a background task to preserve the customizations and can even be programmed through the web interface of VIA on any web browser.
In spite of being a pre-assembled keyboard, the brand has facilitated its modding by making it accessibly serviceable with just few hex screws on the bottom case (even the hex key is included)

KEYCAPS
5/5
The keycaps set included with the EPOMAKER Tide75 are double-shot PBT with OEM profile and a less-typical style with side-printed, shine-through design.
This type of side-printed keycaps gives them a fully stealthy look when the RGB lights are turned off and will make them shine-through with the LED lights on; but, differently to typical shine-through keycaps, these ones have a front/south-facing fonts placement, aiming towards the user instead of directly upwards.
We have reviewed other keyboards with similar type of keycaps (Keydous NJ98, Skyloong GK104PRO, MCHOSE K99, AJAZZ AK820 Max) but unlike them, the EPOMAKER has an all-black finish and not a greyscale gradient per row.
This makes the fonts over the black keycaps, substantially more readable when the LED lights are fully turned off.
Regarding the finish, the keycaps have a smooth and barely fine-textured feel which makes them bit less grippy than other keycaps with a “rougher” grit texture.
The knob on the right top angle of the keeb has a metal build and an all-black design with a shiny ring, matching the overall look of the unit.
This knob rotates fluidly but with the right amount of resistance as to be accurate; each step responds with a tactile per-notch feedback but with no audible clicks.

SWITCHES
4/5
The specific model of the EPOMAKER Tide75 that we are reviewing is equipped with the Epomaker Lemon mechanical linear switches.
These Epomaker Lemon are part of the new mechanical switches from Epomaker (indeed, this is the first time that we get our hands on the Epomaker Lemon)
On hands, the Epomaker Lemon feel fairly lighter and faster than many other popular linear switches tested so far.
As a matter of fact, these switches have a shorter travel distance than usual for standard, non-speed linear switches, with barely 1.6mm of actuation travel.
Epomaker Lemon specifications
Type Linear
Pins 5
Housing Pa66 (upper and bottom)
Stem POM
Spring 22mm
Actuation force 40gf
Actuation travel 1.6mm
Bottom travel 3.5mm
CON
CONNECTIVITY
4.75/5
The Epomaker Tide 75 is a tri-mode keyboard with 2 wireless modes and a detachable wired one.
Through the wireless options, users can opt to use the 3 banks of Bluetooth connections or a higher performing 2.4G wireless one (dongle included).
As usual with most Epomaker keyboards reviewed so far, the connection (wired and wireless) were stable, with fast pairing and reconnection.
P&E
PERFORMANCE & USE
TYPING
5/5
At first, when seeing the specs of the bundled switches we feared that they could result in a higher typing error rate than “slower” or heavier linear switches; instead, the Tide75 with Lemon switches offered an error-free real life use and even a less fatiguing performance than heavier switches.
GAMING
4.5/5
If you get your Epomaker Tide75 with the Lemon switches, you obtain a versatile operation with speedier performance for better gaming purposes.
On top of that, the keyboard has a compact 75% layout and gaming-specific features such as:
• NKRO
• 1000Hz polling rate
• Knob
• 2.4G wireless & wired
• Hot-swappable
PRODUCTIVITY
4.25/5
For office and productivity, the Tide75 can be a superb keyboard thanks to the triple mode connection, durable build and remarkably stable placement due to its weight and “sticky” silicone feet.
The compact size but including the full F number row, arrow keys, knob and some of the most common “extra” keys, can make this Epomaker Tide75 way better fit for office, work and productivity than 68%, 65% and 60% keyboards.
TABLET/MOBILE
3.75/5
The Epomaker Tide75 has all the specs and features needed to be fully compatible with mobile setups but the particularly heavy nature of this metal keyboard does not make the smartest choice if you are planning to hop from cafe to cafe for your mobile work.
L
LIGHTING
4.25/5
The board of the Tide 75 has south-facing RGB LED lights that can be changed on the fly through hotkeys, allowing users to choose among plenty of pre-designed lighting presets.
It is fair to mention that if you have other of the keyboards with side-lit keycaps that we have reviewed (Keydous NJ98, Skyloong GK104PRO, MCHOSE K99, AJAZZ AK820 Max), the EPOMAKER Tide75 will exhibit a backlight intensity that is less-bright when directly compared with the other mentioned.
S
SOUND
4.5/5
If you own premium barebone kits and even some premium and popular metal fully assembled keyboards, you might expect that the Epomaker Tide75 would respond with a low-pitched, thocky sound but this is not the case for the Tide75 with Lemon switches.
As the thocky-obsession of modern times can be confused with the sole top-tier sound profile for mechanical keyboards, you might be concerned that this one will not sound “nice”.
Instead, we could define the sound profile of the Epomaker Tide75 as more refined clacky than thocky, with a classic mechanical keyboard sound.
The overall sound quality is quite good with no issues with resonance nor hollow traces; while the plate-mounted stabilizers were free of rattling noises and well pre-lubed – a bit of extra lube could benefit the spacebar stabs though.
B
BATTERY
4/5
Inside the case, the EPOMAKER Tide 75 carries a 4000mAh battery to ensure, sufficiently long runtimes while using it wirelessly.
The capacity of the battery is a bit larger than average, which comes as a handy feature as the nature of the side-printed keycaps need the RGB board’s lights to be turned on to be readable.
